One of my absolute favourite chords in this world is the b7(11) chord.

I am trying to understand it better, approach it with a deferent way of thinking and explore the possibilities of it.

Here I am trying to use 4 main tools to approach it:

• The Maj9 arpeggio starting from the IV and the bVII degree of the Tonic
(F# 11)

•The C# m7 arpeggio

•The F# 13 arpeggio

•The D minor pentatonic which basically sounds like F # Major pentatonic

I used the track “The devils orchard” from my absolutely favourite band in the world @officialopeth to practice these concepts.

My guitar is tuned a half step down to Eb standard.

If you like what you hear but you are not quite sure that you follow, comment “lesson” and I will offer the first 5 people a free 40 minutes one to one session, breaking down the concepts and go more in depth.

Special thanks to my brother @jonny.mp3 for this amazing shot.

Jonny is that kind of guy that you throw an idea at, and he delivers, simple as that. If you live in Hamburg and you are interested in any kind of art oriented business he is the man for you. Thank me later.

We also have a band and the album sounds huge. Can’t wait for this.

Always with my beloved @prsguitars custom 22.

A truly magnificent instrument that always does the job no matter what.
Almost 20 years with this beauty and counting.
