Im totally with @rjmrla but my message is for @dejonpaul_ . I’m usually very unbiased when it comes to situations like this. I don’t speak on everything because everybody is entitled to their own opinion, and my opinion doesn’t always need to be the loudest one in the room.

But this situation is different.

At some point, we have to stop acting like artists need validation from one person before they can be respected. Too many people move like they’re trying to get “good grades” instead of trusting their own creativity, building their own audience, and putting their work out there.

Yes, we want to see you drop a project. We want to see you create, perform, and showcase your own talent. The events and concerts you host are appreciated, and there is nothing wrong with building a platform and getting your bag.

But when your platform becomes centered around constantly critiquing artists, people are naturally going to ask when they get to see what you can create.

There are so many opportunities beyond music too. There are local actors, filmmakers, creatives, and independent projects that need attention. You have the ability to use your platform to discover and highlight new talent in different spaces instead of staying focused on tearing down or repeatedly critiquing the same community.

Constructive criticism has value, but when the message becomes repetitive, it can start to overshadow the bigger purpose: helping the culture grow.

This isn’t hate or disrespect. It’s just a reminder that the best way to influence a community is not only by talking about what others are doing — it’s also by creating, supporting, and contributing something of your own.
