Hi, I’m currently at hiatus in Nepal! I’ll spend couple weeks away from tattooing. As I visit this country for the first time, I’m eager to share my impressions and photos I took last few days - I hope y’all wouldn’t mind such a post in the form of a travel blog so I could call myself a travelling artist. Travelling brings a lot of inspiration to me and admiration of a local culture, life style and art.

Not to be dramatic but today I saw one of the best views of my life on the flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara - snowy mountains covered with clouds, this looked almost surreal.
Yesterday I saw Indra Jātrā festival per chance which is the largest religious street festival originating in and unique to the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. Indra Jātrā is marked by masked dances of deities and demons, displays of sacred images, and tableaus in honor of the deity Indra, the king of heaven. Streets are covered with vibrant marigold flowers.

I survived club 27 and I’m 28 yo today ✨
This birthday I spend in Kathmandu, Nepal. Today I took a yoga class and enjoyed a slow day.
In this post I marked few highlights of my year besides tattooing. Who would have thought that simply starting the journey of learning new language would bring me such a fun opportunities!
I’m grateful where every trip and journey took me, the loveliest people I met on my path - it inspires me to go on.

Lately, I’ve been getting more and more tattoo inquiries from clients in their 50s and 60s, and I’m really happy about it. 🖤

What I especially love is that for many of them, their interest in tattoos comes from their children and grandchildren, who have started getting tattoos themselves.

For some of these clients, I’m creating their very first tattoo, although of course, it’s not the first tattoo for everyone. Either way, it’s really lovely to see tattoos becoming something natural and exciting for people of all different ages.

Pine and Thymian branch tattoo with a bumblebee 💛
Thank you for flying from Lithuania, Vilnius!

This composition symbolises Darya’s immigration journey: she as a bumblebee, while thymian associates with her home-country and pine branch is a new country where she found her home.
She told me she dreamt about this tattoo for 10 years and we tattooed it on her birthday :)
