Yes I picked this bitch up with a rag bc you can literally see the slime oozing from this mf in the first photo, I'm not letting it slip from my hands and execute itself by diving head first into the dock wood.

Both times I've released him because I don't have a fillet knife yet but I'm getting emotionally attatched and I don't think I have the heart to eat him if I catch him again.

11 long years with my best friend by my side. The dog who has stuck there with me through every awkward phase, through every evil partner, through every sickness. The dog who was willing to sacrifice going for daily walks if it meant I wouldn't pass out anymore. The dog who would lay next to me every day while bedbound. The dog who could tell that something was wrong when no doctor could.

I had spent my entire childhood begging my parents for a dog. It wasn't until I raised about $200 for @petpalanimalshelterstpete for a school project back in 2016 that my parents finally realized I would NOT give up. It only took one visit to find my best friend. When I saw Max in the kennel, his ears were drooped, he looked anxious, and with being a pit mix, I knew he might not get adopted. He came from a home that was not kind to him. He looked like he had already given up, the same way I had felt during this time. So, I gave us both a chance.

We immediately clicked. Mom thought that dad would be the bad guy and say no. Dad thought that mom would be the bad guy and say no. Both were immediately as attached as I was, and so, we took him home. He loved both of our cats who were alive at the time, and when we got Banjo, our current cat, Max loved him too.

His weekends were filled with swimming, chasing birds, and lots of chicken. This 68 pound dog could drag 200 pounds across the floor like a maniac if you held the other end of his toy. He was always very vocal, always talking, always had so much to say and express despite his anxiety. He loved the life he lived, more than anything. He loved all of us, a huge cuddle bug.

It breaks my heart to know that he will arrive home in a box next week, but, it also brings me peace. He has always belonged here, in the backyard, at home, chasing birds in the wind, barking at everything.

He was always so curious as to what I do on the dock, but too scared to walk down the dock. He would whine and whine, wondering what I'm doing. When I bring him home in his little box, we will sit together on the dock so that he can finally see what I was up to. He will get to see all the fish I bring up, and I will get to hold him again. ❤️ by @kou2kouda
