It’s funny to think that my favorite project so far wasn’t with my Sony FX3 but a @sonyxperiaus phone. This phone’s cameras are a creative powerhouse!

“Dirt bikes are sick!!” The famous words of @joshypoo312
We’re always testing how close is too close when we shoot! 🤘🏽

I typically bring the camera with me on locations like this to shoot but a high chance of rain I didn’t want to risk. It’s the main tool of my trade and my favorite hobby. Gone…

Time only moves in one direction. I hate that this happened but I don’t want to spend my time being upset/angry. There’s always a bright new beginning after tragedy. I look forward to see it unfold. taken in Utuado, Puerto Rico by @kovatonic

The last Sunday in August is National Paso Fino Day in Puerto Rico… 🇵🇷 🐎 (today)

@reganwhistler has been taking Paso Fino riding lessons on the weekends and I’ve been tagging along to shoot 🎥 and support 😊

Also learning how to care for the Paso Fino

The Paso Fino horse is known for its gait (steps)

She thought I was taking a photo 🤣 cuties 🤗

psycho chicken 🐓😳🤣

Anyway, shot some fun clips at the farm, practiced some color grading, attempted a “bleach bypass” look in DaVinci Resolve and this is the result. 🎞️

Alternative beach sports 🌴🥥🎥

Made coconut milk from those coconuts by blending the coco water with the coco meat and strained. Enjoyed the milk in some homemade cold brew coffee ☕️ made with local Puerto Rican 🇵🇷coffee beans ❤️

Color grading fun

My new hobby, writing.. except here all I wrote was “I’m literally getting bit by 17 mosquitoes for this shot… I hope it’s worth it”
🤣🦟🤕🎥

Here I wrote “I am so hungry freakin hungry right now” 🤣
Fritz is such a great dog 🐕

Same park as the last shot. The trees here are lovely! 🌴🪾🇵🇷

Volleyball sesh at @rafael.albarran_ birthday party 🎁🎂🥳

While setting up for this shot I was standing on an ant hill and didn’t realize it… Got bit 74 times in less than a minute, no joke 🐜🤬

There’s so much more to this story, pains and blessings. Overall, that moment forced a wave of changes in me for a much better experience. 💪🏽🌎♾️🙏🏽

There’s a big step in the production process that without sharing the difference it typically goes completely unnoticed. 👀

Top - S-LOG3 is what the footage looks right out of a Sony camera. It is meant for the highest possible dynamic range while leaving space to create the look.

Bottom - Rec.709 is the standard color rulebook to be displayed across most all monitor screens to keep a consistent look. A conversion into rec709 must be made

Middle - it’s all the work done between the conversion
• contrast • white balance • saturation • exposure • highlights • shadows • blends • looks • masking • etc.. 🎨

This was a shot I got on set with @sectorseven.zone for a promo video of their Prizm high output LED mirror set. Sprinting (on foot) in the dunes with my FX3 on a @dji gimbal next to this @polarisrzr racing around the dunes. How close is too close? 🤔🎥 by @kovatonic
