How it started…

It’s coming on 1 year of @thecookiebarpdx coming to life and I’ll admit that I still don’t have everything together. Storage, inventory, recipe development, promotional opportunities and all that extra jazz while still working a full time job as a pastry cook in these hotels. Your Cookietender be tired, in all the ways lol.

I’ve been feeling kinda down lately
As I stand here in this spot tonight
I just want to say that I love you
Just in case I may die
Because my heart’s been hurting
And my feet been worn
From walking here on this journey
for far too long

Last night I felt like dying

and hop on meteors from Jupiter to Mars.

as these spectators wonder what where and why

But that journey begins once I walk my ass through that door
You see I’ve felt the disgust and felt all the shame
but I’m no longer answering to these demons calling me by me name.
High society’s kept me grounded,
Present and aware
No matter how high I get my home is still here.
