Chicago! I’ve been in you for 12 years. 12 years of laugh out loud fun, friends that I’ll have for life, 3 different apartments, a graduate degree, more hangovers than I care to remember, a few nervous breakdowns, endless swims in the lake, protests, parades, parties, love, heartbreak, jobs that sucked the life out of me, jobs that gave me life, bad tattoos, good tattoos, deep dish pizzas and shots of malort, book clubs and birthdays and sooooo many cute cats. Golly gee I feel I lucky to call this city home 💛 by @kphlin

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SEES 💘 my little tiny sister who is actually really my big sister in a little sister’s body. You are the smartest, sweetest, hippest cat out there and i love you more than words can say! Thank you for teaching me how to pack a suitcase, how to do my hair, how stop buying things I hate, how to do a good Australian accent, how to be cool, and how I don’t wanna be anything other than what I’ve been trynna be lately!! I wish I could take back all the times I didn’t let you play with me as a kid because I’d kill for a play date with you these days! You’re the brightest light in every room that you shuffle ball change into 💫 happy 34th year little bug, wallyamos❣️💐🎂🥳🦋🎀💛 by @kphlin

As the old adage goes, do people who run marathons know they don’t have to? Answer: Yes, but I’m doing it anyway!

I’m excited to share that this year, I’ll be running the Chicago Marathon in support of @thenetworkaadv a local Chicago organization working to end domestic and gender-based violence. As a social worker, I’ve seen firsthand the positive impact that The Network has had on Chicago communities and the lives of those they serve.

All the funds I raise will go directly to The Survivor Crisis Fund, which helps survivors and their families stay safely housed, meet their basic needs, and rebuild their lives.

I know the world feels dark right now, and there are so many important causes that need support, and this is one of them. Even a small donation can make a big impact. Please visit the link in my bio to help me meet my fundraising goal and cross the finish line! 💚
