Through this window at my desk, I wonder which ones are Christians, which ones Jews? Which ones are Muslims, which ones Hindu or Buddhist? Which ones are gay and which ones are straight? Who among these are Democrats and who are Republicans? I have a feeling one day each of us will get an unexpected answer to those questions…Foolish foolish hateful men… taken in High Point, North Carolina by @kpower.archive

To the rest of the world, if there was any doubt in your mind whose a** you’ve been kissing in hopes it would make any difference, here’s your sign! For that to work, he would have to have a soul or at the very least, a conscience. So you see one man who is quite literally trying to save his country, thousands more lives and yet untold catastrophic loss of infrastructure, homes, churches, mosques, synagogues, libraries, museums, schools and hospitals and the other man is trying to line his pockets, whatever the cost to humanity, while he can. Sad, disgusting and evil… by @kpower.archive

Decades ago (1989), I opened a studio in Charlotte called “Edifice”. We rebuilt, restyled and created new finishes for all kinds of furnishings that had no great value on their own or otherwise might have gone unnoticed or tossed out. Pre-chalk paint, too mind you. I was actually very proud of the work we produced but after about 8 years and flagging health, I stopped. Lately, I’ve been playing with the notion of working again and saving some of those “throw-aways”…A recent addition to my contribution (sad as it is) at Boxwood Antique Market in High Point is a 1960’s Dixie Furniture dresser in rose. I’m encouraged that it’s actually sold so let’s see what else I got in me! #furniturefinishes #paintedfurniture #creativejuices #olddognewtricks #boxwoodantiquemarket #highpointnc #shoplocal by @kpower.archive
