Howdy, and happy Wednesday everyone. Cannot believe it's October. This top or side flip 2.75" x 4" page has 3 cutouts. The center has a great quote, and the other two have dried baby's breath peeking through and are encased in plastic. I found some lovely pieces of fabric that worked. so I added them. The number is wrapped in green thread and has a piece of thin airy fabric behind it. I crocheted a tiny butterfly, and added that to the other corner. Oh, almost forgot-3 French knots in the top right corner ... gosh so small I almost missed that ... Ha by @kraftyiam

Howdy, still in the mood to stitch. This 1.5" x 5.5" canvas piece has txt that reads - Live with love ... The black/brown piece is paper, with pieces of a rattan thingamajig I cut to mimic a fence and a frame. This can be used as a belly-band, or on the edge of a page, looks like a bookmark though - huh by @kraftyiam

Howdy, this is about 2.5" by 4" and was really fun to see it come together at the end. I saw this somewhere years ago and had to eventually make one. Using only cotton yarn decide how long and fluffy you want it first. Then using the same yarn cut a piece long enough to fold it in half. Then perform the half square knot aka single square knot technique as long as needed. Adjust it as you go to keep each knot close together. With the two tails at the end, remember the string was folded in half, tie a few knots to close it off. Then slowly use a wide tooth comb and brush out the yarn to create the soft, fluffy fringe. Viola - a macrame feather. You can spray it to stiffen or ... But I did not. oohh I could make a bunch and hang them on my little Christmas tree this year ... or not. Ha by @kraftyiam

Howdy, this mini macrame is well tiny. I got thru it. Yes, I put myself through the strangest things sometimes. This is one of those days I felt like making a wall hanging. Ha it won't disappear on a wall I guess because it's orange. Picture that. by @kraftyiam

Howdy, Thought I'd share a glimpse into a day in the life of Moi, trying, and not successfully, to pare down my travel craft items. That bulging green bag, top, stores wet & dry glue, tape, fabric, paper, flowers, many ephemera, sewing stuff, etc. This is always a carry-on that goes under the seat. The rest are all types of paper: solids/patterned, white, brown paper bags, etc., plus different watercolor papers. These go in the luggage. And yes, I pack scraps of paper too ... teeny tiny ones - Ha. I know, I know, but I panic if I don't pack something I know I'll regret later ... ROTFL
I'm still trying to pare it down, but I don't leave much hope. Different items to use for different creations to match my mood ...
Pare down, yeah right, you know what I did ... you guessed it, the other day I found this fabulous tiny light with 3 different light strengths from 5 Below with my travel bag in mind. I know, what a great find. I can use it when extra light is needed, and use it if we walk the beach at night. It can be a backup as I carry a tiny flashlight in my purse ... Ha by @kraftyiam

Howdy, I crack myself up ... Say hello to my little friend. While in Costa Rica we took a pottery class. Made me think back to 7th Grade when I took my first pottery class, every Wednesday, in H.S. I made my mom a whale out of clay; fired it, painted it, glazed it, mounted it, and presented it to her. It came out great ... it really did. I'm sure I have a pic somewhere. Anywho, I wanted a small vase with a face on it, but this turkey didn't shrink while drying ... Ha it makes me smile though and it was a fun time. Soon I will add a plant - just waiting for the plant to get a lil bigger. Oh, and I have tons of baby's breath being dried and pressed for a future project. by @kraftyiam

Howdy, I needed a vase, and not wanting to go hunt for one, I created one. I failed to take a pic of the start but you can imagine it.
I taped together an empty vitamin bottle, two plastic long/narrow tubes, and a glass tube to form the "vase" ... yep, still on a roll, and not wanting to dig out fabrics, I grabbed the the only one next to me. I wanted to let the fabric flow and use pins to hold it together - viola ... me likey and it doesn't leak - Ha by @kraftyiam

Howdy y'all I never announced it before but it's my birthday. Wow, time flies, and it waits for no one that is true. Ha. Anywho, I still haven't gone back to that project I started months ago and have been starting new ones like this journal. I was cleaning out stuff and went through a box of cards I hadn't used. This one I didn't throw away. It read, "Muchas Gracias", which I covered up with, "Progress Over Perfection." I kept the face of that card and had already decided to use it as a journal cover, of course. So I played around with ideas and also added the Enjoy tea bag thingy and the word actually on the bottom. I had also already decided to make this one with a hidden message spine - last pic. The inside 10 flaps each hold a large blank tag and a smaller one on the back—not all—but most. I even added a pen holder. This one was fun to create and it went fast. Tags, tucks, tons of spots to write, sketch, or add a picture, and add more embellies too. I didn't think much it just flew by and measures 4.75" x 6" ... On this day I decided to go back to that other project as it's still early in the day, and later I will run one errand and then treat myself to some shopping plus ... Ha ... what's a little rain. Quiet down Nor'easter and behave. by @kraftyiam

Howdy, this was my first make with those water-colored sheets in purple tones I was playing with. Collaged a few bits here. This 4" x 3" piece initially wanted to be a tag but then - why not - add a pop-up and a few tags and it became something else ... It was a wonderful challenge. by @kraftyiam
