First announcement: one week of @touchdesigner workshop by @unsorted.love @kratadata x @structurals_

Made for beginners and open to everyone! We’ll learn the basics of the software, how to create 2D & 3D visuals, use MIDI devices, make things react to sound and build a very first VJ system. We might also build a Rocket.

The class will be given in English, with French support as well.

The week will end with Artist talks, A/V shows and an open VJ Jam!

Two weeks ago I had an opportunity to do live visuals @dourfestival for @vaemilija and @benwal.music

It was super fun to mix pre-rendered clips, custom made visuals in @touchdesigner and AI avatars made using open-source models in @comfyui

Thanks to @matierehumaine and Simon Medard for inviting me, @sophielemeillour recommendation, and @emiko_visual_artist for the pictures and a cosy hangout in Brussels. Allez hop!

Paulina “krata” Zybinska is an interdisciplinary designer and researcher 🧠 specializing in the relationship between technology, human perception, and embodiment 🤖 She performs under the alias krata as a VJ and live coder 💻 creating visuals through real-time improvisation between generative art and algorithms 🎛️

In her day work, Paulina lectures at various universities 🎓 on critical uses of Machine Learning and researches the impact of using Deepfakes in mental health applications in VR 🧪 She also runs the audiovisual collective “unsorted” 🎨 which functions as a community hub for designers, hackers, and musicians 🤝 to experiment with new media, toolmaking and DIY culture 🔧

Presenting Paulina Zybinska
Paulina Zybinska is a creative technologist, lecturer, and researcher interested in how technology shapes the way we perceive and experience the world. Her work digs into the ethical and psychological side of algorithms and synthetic media. Under the name ‘krata’ she performs live visuals, improvising with code and nodes in real time. She also teaches modules on creative and critical uses of machine learning and technology in artistic practice at various universities.

Paulina presents Unsorted Realities
Unsorted Realities is an experimental media art event that brings together immersive audiovisual performances, real-time visuals, and digital art explorations in Rhyality’s immersive 360° projection hall. A collaboration between Zurich-based media art collective unsorted and the Rhyality Immersive Art Hall, exploring digital chaos, beauty, and everything in between.

Vor zwei Wochen fand die erste Ausgabe von «Unsorted Realities» in der Rhyality Immersive Art Hall statt. Ein Tag voller immersiver Experimente, live generierter Visuals und kollektiver Kreativität im 360°-Raum!

Was für ein Abend! Letzten Samstag fand die erste Ausgabe von «Unsorted Realities» in Kollaboration mit @unsorted.love in der Rhyality Art Hall statt. Artists von nah und fern haben den 360°-Raum am Rheinfall in eine audiovisuelle Jam-Session verwandelt.

Tagsüber feilten die Artists an ihren Visuals für den immersiven Raum. Abends dann: Artist Talk und hypnotische AV-Performance von @structurals_ aus Genf, live generierte Visuals von den unsorted-Community-Artists und Sounds von DJ Fefe. 28 Projektoren, 90 Speaker und ein Raum voller kreativer Energie, die zusammen diese surreale Atmosphäre geschaffen haben! ✨

Danke an alle, die dabei waren und diese Nacht so besonders gemacht haben! An @structurals_ für die inspirierenden Insights und die intensive Performance. An alle Artists für die atemberaubenden Live-Visuals und an DJ Fefe @cervenos für die Sounds.
