My heart is SO full right now! 🥹💗✨ Watching my daughter get ready for homecoming is bringing me a kind of joy I can’t even explain. I became a teen mom at 16 and dropped out of high school, so there are so many experiences from that chapter of my life that I never got the chance to have. That’s why watching my daughter experience these moments means SO much to me. 🥹💕
She gets to dress up, take pictures, go to homecoming/prom, make memories with her friends, and experience this beautiful chapter of being a teenager—and I’m genuinely overjoyed that she gets to have it. I’m not living through her; I’m simply grateful that I get to witness her experience the things I didn’t.
This is a full-circle moment for me. 🥹❤️ From being a 16-year-old mother who had to grow up quickly, to now being a mother watching her daughter reach milestones I once only imagined.
God has truly brought me a LONG way. 🙏🏽✨ And sometimes healing looks like being able to celebrate the beautiful experiences your children get to have.
So yes, Mama is EXCITED! 😂😭💗 The dress, the hair, the pictures, the excitement, ALL OF IT! My baby is growing up, and I’m soaking up every single moment.
Go make those memories, baby girl! 👑💕 Mommy is so proud of you and will be cheering you on every step of the way! ✨ taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @kratedhair
