Yesterday was my last day of class ever! I have had the most incredible experience with the most supportive group of girls. This time has flown by so fast and I am so grateful for all I have learned. My time is not over yet in Rome (grazie dio!) I still have an internship and a thesis to work on! Here is my final sewing project that me and Ali created we went from sketch to creation to create a time accurate 1895 stage costume with a very low budget & 2 weeks. Words can’t even describe how I feel right now. My time in Rome has come to an end because of better career opportunities. After almost two years, this place is so special to me and will always be home in my heart. The amount of growth I’ve experienced in this city is invaluable. Living and working here, doing horrible bureaucratic things in Italian, beginning to believe in myself, and gaining the confidence to know that my dreams can absolutely come true.The people are always the best part. I have met the most amazing people who have carried me through some really hard times and who I have so much to thank for when it comes to my growth. Best friends for a lifetime (I love you guys so much). Leaving absolutely breaks my heart, but I know that, in some capacity, Italy is always going to be part of my life. Rome is the best, most beautiful, unique city in the world (you can’t convince me otherwise). I will miss the daily inspiration that this city gives me, cheap wine and spritzes, the aperitivo culture, three-hour dinners, well almost everything. Ti amo Roma per sempre.
