After seeing other posts on here and then chatting with a friend I feel like 3 ⭐️ is taken as a negative thing, whereas to me I don't feel like it is.

Book review:
Lucy Hudson - The Enchanted Library
4 ⭐️

This children's book is delightful; the illustrations are beautiful and the story is whimsical, fun and fairytale-esque.

Grace is adorable and a magical moving tree library is just fantastic. I was intrigued and delighted by the inkling story too. Will definitely be reading book 2 😀 a perfect shorter novel for young kids or adults who still have their taste for childish magic and adventure ♥️

Book review:
Estelle Rose - The Empowering DBR workbook for Adult ADHD
5 ⭐️

Thank you @rosalipublishing for sending me an ARC. This is the 6th!! Book I've read by Estelle Rose...and my favourite.

Back in 2023 the 2nd slide shows my response to being asked to ARC book 1. When I started reading it I remember giggling and thinking how much I related. When I read a line about how ADHD in women is often diagnosed as depression, anxiety and perfectionism I was like 😲 that's what I have!

Forward to more books by Estelle, suggestions from friends, my sons ADHD diagnosis and my own research and I might be changing that first comment 😅

But what I could never understand was how it had never came up or been helped all the time I'd done CBT. Then my child's ADHD nurse said "a lot of ADHD people don't response to CBT... DBT works better" followed by Estelle's message about this new book.

This follows the same format that I love about all the others; chatty, informative, relatable, scientific and...actually helpful! You can tell that the author truly understands ADHD frustrations; because the people and books that tell you to calm down and think logically when you're overwhelmed and deregulated? It's not bloody possible.

This book, on the other hand, offers various stages of things to try. Quick and easy things when you're overwhelmed for large steps. Bigger picture and more long term helpful when you have your wise mind on.

For the first time I even used the ideas while at work to stop my spiralling and work paralysis which was a huge deal for me.

I've ordered the paperback so I can carry it with me and highlight and use frequently.

When we were on holiday we visited @bewilderwood_cheshire and it was awesome! I probably enjoyed it more than my child 😅

I think forests and mazes based on all books would be a great idea. by @krbooks13
