“Here's what happens between a client saying ‘I need a flyer’ and me delivering the final design.”

“I need a flyer”

and me delivering the final design.

First, I need to understand the brief.

What's the event?

Who's the target audience?

What's the goal?

What information MUST be included?

Then I think about the visual direction.

Colours.

Typography.

Layout.

Images.

And the overall mood.

Then I start designing.

The first version isn't always perfect.

So I review it.

I check the hierarchy.

I check the spacing.

I check whether the important information stands out.

Then I make revisions.

And finally…

I have a design that's not just attractive…

but actually communicates the message.

That's the part people don't always see.

Design isn't just opening an app and making things look nice.

There's thinking behind the final design.

And that's what I'm always trying to improve.
