This week's we're looking at Winky Protein Pudding because... well, because science says we can put protein in anything and we're running out of ideas.

Do our muscles feel stronger? Are our taste buds happy? You're gonna have to watch to find out!

We've another episode coming to your eyeballs! This time, courtesy of our friends Lance and Mileena, we're trying a selection of cheeses from Vermont Creamery.

Where have we been? Dealing with some audio issues from previous recordings, to be honest. We actually shot this video two months ago.

When will we be back to our regular schedule? Eventually!

We're back! (sort of...)

We've been working out some technical difficulties in the filming process. But we finally have a new episode up!

This week we're tasting more protein! Specifically, David Protein Bars. Are they delicious/nutritious/overly ambitious?

Find out here!

We loved NOLA, but this fuzzy little bastard tops that. We missed him sorely. Happy to have him back!

Thanks @bunnyluv_northhollywood for keeping an eye on him!

Final meal of our time in NOLA: we searched around bourbon street but ended up back at the Tipsy Trumpet. The live band and food was too good to not return to.

Crawfish etouffee for Katie, fried shrimp and fish for me, and finish with beignet fries for dessert. Plus, ample drinks. by @krcompares

Okay! One of the last events of the trip was the Audubon Aquarium and Insectarium.

The insect portion came first and featured all kinds of fun, interactive exhibits geared for kids and adults that play like kids. It culminates in an open butterfly enclosure. You can also eat bugs, if that’s your thing.

The aquarium portion has an open bird enclosure for some reason and features two rescued animals: a red-tailed hawk which was shot through the wing and an owl with a wing injury, both deemed unreleasable.

Aquarium part 2 took us from bayou with gators and local fish - gators, groupers, crappies, and sturgeons to the sweltering rainforest with piranhas to the colder, deeper waters of lookdowns, lionfish and mantas.

Along the way we met a six week old, as-yet-unnamed, baby boy penguin, saw the parents and took a picture of two of them going at it which might count as porn.

They also had one of those fancy underwater tunnel dealies. Super dope!

We spent probably three/three and a half hours exploring.

There’s also a zoo, but it’s located further out in the garden district.

It’s definitely worth the visit.

I still prefer the New England Aquarium, but this one was pretty rad. by @krcompares

We spent several hours today exploring the World War Two Museum in NOLA.

What an incredible experience! Each section surrounds you in the forests, sounds, and architecture of the location you’re learning about. It seamlessly transitions you from aboard a carrier to the jungles of the Pacific, from the beaches of Normandy to Berlin.

The museum leans into America’s involvement, unsurprisingly, so many details felt left out.

American internment camps housing Asians - particularly Japanese - were mentioned but partly glossed over and their impact felt… lessened.

A good deal was spent on Jews and the Holocaust but others targeted by the Nazis - such as Roma, LGBT, political dissidents, and disabled people - were regulated to a single sentence.

Similarly, the successes of other nations, such as the British soldiers and French rebels were barely a footnote. And we found no mention of the Soviet portion in which 27 million Soviets were killed. by @krcompares

New Orleans Day One Recap

We checked in near 3am since our train was delayed six hours after totaling a car on the tracks. Apparently, the driver survived.

We didn’t get to sleep in since we had an early morning swamp and bayou tour which was dope as hell.

After a long walk and nap we hit up the Tipsy Trumpet for gator bites, seafood gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, and etouffee.

Stumbling out of the Trumpet - partly because I ordered my drinks double but the waiter doubled Katie’s instead - we wandered until we found some German chocolate fudge.

Related: the band tonight was Soul Tribe and, man, they could all sing! Helluva good time!
