A few days late, but we’ve been too busy partying. Dolly turned 10! She spent the last year growing and changing and just becoming a badass. She loves the color purple, sports, maximalist fashion, backwards hats, traveling, her friends, and just…. has that joie de vivre you can only have when you’re a kid. To know her is to love her, and she has my heart. Happy Bday, bb girl! by @krdbrenner

About 3 weeks before she passed, Mila had her “senior pictures”. They were taken with the utmost care by the incomparable @suzuranphotography at home in Silver Lake. This was incredibly emotional for all of us- but I am so so glad to have these photos of senior Mila and 10 year old (all bruises and skinned elbows and knees!) Molly to cherish. by @krdbrenner

Yesterday, we lost our darling Mila. She was our constant companion for 12 years. She was with me from ages 26-38, with me through every season of adulthood so far. She was everything to me- there’s so much I could say about how perfect she truly was. We adored and treasured her every day of her life. She left this world fearlessly, peacefully, in the arms of the person who loved her most, and what else could anyone ask for, really? I promised her I’d be ok, but told her that if she wanted to haunt me I’d welcome it. Miss you forever, my Moosh.
