Do you know what your body needs?
Do you listen when it speaks?
When it’s screaming for rest, do you adhere to its plea?
Come back to that place, please
A place called peace.
Your spirit is desperately in need of it.

It bothers me how attached we are to our phones and this on the go culture. Sit down and take a break for once. They can wait but your health can’t. The moment you finally decide to rest might be too late. So in everyday take some time away to rest and recharge your mind, body, soul and spirit. You can’t keep running on E expecting to be F, it doesn’t work that way. At some point that car gon stop and you can only push it so far.

Matthew 11:28
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Comparison keeps me silent
When I have words I would like to say
Art to express
Maybe even to show up, today
Then I hide away
Thinking that what I have is not sufficient
To them
The influencers
The creators
But did I forget?
Measuring my worth to likes, views and comments
What lens is this?
Is God in this?
Where is God in comparison?

That is not Him
Contentment is
It’s freedom from the lies of the enemy
It’s knowing who you are
Not being measured by the world’s standards

Cuz if you’re relying on a like or comment
Let’s be real
You’re relying on them
Their approval (Do they ❤️ my content?)
Their “like”, get it

But God’s like
I’ve affirmed you
I’ve set you apart
You are not like the rest
So find rest in me
So I find rest in Him
Showing up when he prompts me to
Not because the algorithm tells me this is the best time to post
Or pressured to keep up with the Joneses
Since they post 3x a day

Show up as you
And that is enough
You, them, their
God is
Everywhere
So when it’s time
I will
Share
Express
Show up
But first
I need to be content with where I am

Seated at the feet of Jesus
Listening to him, learning from him
To know what to share
What to say
What to post
Who I’m reaching
How to reach them their, no there.

A Father. A Friend and in every way Family.

She actually started eating fruits and veggies bcuz of you
She’s even calmer and so much sweeter bcuz of you too

Two kids you two brought into the world, although one didn’t make it…one lives on to continue your legacy

Somewhere along the way, I forgot the promise.

Even after my job told me they were going to help me, I didn’t wait. I took things into my own hands.

So when Dr. Regina actually yoked me up by my suit jacket, I wasn’t surprised...but I was still a little upset. It felt like a loving whooping, lowkey.

It made me ask myself, When am I finally going to listen? When am I going to surrender? God has kept His promise this entire time. Why in the world would He stop now?

It was the wake-up call I didn’t know I needed.

I called myself going up for my family but God called me out.

And here’s what I’m learning: trusting God isn’t just believing He can provide when everything is going well. It’s trusting Him and choosing to wait, surrender, and obey even when fear tells you to take matters into your own hands.

Even today I got a message from that same family member asking about my school balance. But God has graced me to handle this too!

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” - Romans 8:28

Note: Don’t let the devil cause you to fear so much so that you lose sight of God. He will even use the people closest to you. So have discernment and keep your eyes stayed on Him, no matter what it looks like. by @kreatedbydesign
