Today was a big day. We finally released the aerial shot of the mural. The fabulous Miss Louisiana ladies showed up and showed out 👑🔥, and the city came together in the name of art and community. Public art is powerful, and we’re honored to be a part of it.

Here’s the note to Monroe @ashleygreerartwork read today

“Dear Monroe,

Daniel and I were so excited when we found out the city went with our design for the Art Alley Mural Project. This concept has been on our minds for a while now, and to see it finally come to life—in the perfect location, in the perfect city—feels oh so special.

Monroe is where our full-time art careers began. Growing up in a small town in Louisiana, we didn’t think it was possible to make a living as artists. We thought you had to move to a big city to chase your creative dreams. But right here, in Monroe, our little artist dreams came true.

This place showed me that there are others like us—people with the same passions, the same drive. And those people—the artists, the dreamers, the creatives—they support one another. They collaborate. They build a more vibrant community together.

This is where Daniel and I met. We hit it off right away and made it our mission to leave the world just a little more colorful than when we found it.

Our goal has always been to bring people together—to inspire joy, connection, and creativity. To show others that they can create too—because your art, your voice, your creation might be exactly what someone else needs to brighten their day.

That’s the beauty of public art: it becomes a part of people’s lives.

Over time, people will dance on this mural. Some will meet here for the first time. Kids will walk across it today, and 15 years from now, they’ll walk across it again—as graduates. There will be handshakes, high-fives, paw prints, and so many memories made right here.

And I’m honored to be part of it.

Thank you to the City of Monroe for this opportunity. Thank you for showing the world that art matters, that community matters, and for always standing behind your artists.

Love,
Ashley Greer”

Do you feel better in places filled with art, murals & color? 🎨

We may live in a world obsessed with modern, but that doesn’t mean it has to be colorless. Good thing there are artists out here willing to throw a little color back on those walls. by @krewecreative

I have waited quietly for YEARS for this idea to flourish. I’ve ALWAYS wanted to do drone shots in the lake, but I had a few obstacles. I needed a lake that was easily accessible for a boat, I needed a boat—but not just a regular boat. A cool boat. And I needed a drone.

And FINALLY, The last few months made this vision work. Strategic decisions brought this to life. Dreams unfolding before my eyes is something I don’t take for granted. Having a house on a lake was never something I thought possible. Finding this amazing canoe on marketplace in Alexandria was something I never thought I’d find, and forming a relationship years ago with a local artist to paint this beautiful mural was divinity. Photographs move me. Art moves me. I want to make photos that move people. A transition perhaps. New eyes to see photography for what it is. Stories—art. That’s what we’re doing here.

So, here I am, introducing lake sessions with drone footage. I have so, so, SO many ideas to bring with this. Hold me accountable. Call me with YOUR crazy lake ideas because, LETS DO IT. I’m stoked to be able to bring this to my Monroe and West Monroe communities. Let’s make some magic, baby! 🪄 💕

Thank you @boobi_beannnnn for being so willing and beautiful
And to @krewecreative for the beautiful artwork! Y’all never. Miss.

Cherry blossom mural complete. 🌸✅

We love painting large commercial murals, but every now and then it’s nice to create a home decor mural like this one.

Soft cherry blossoms, a limewash inspired background, and calming blue green tones gave this bedroom a serene, elevated feel.🤍 by @krewecreative
