Boomtown 2012. I was way out of my league and I knew it!! 🙇
Demolition Man. General Levy. Gappy Ranks. Stylo G. These artists had no reason to show me love like this but vibes were BIG! I’ve never forgotten it. Thanks @kelvin373 and team for giving me the biggest stage of my DJ career 🙏🙏🙏

Then school happened. 15 years away from jungle, but now I’m back in the studio, focused on original music and working with vocalists. 🎙️

To everyone in this clip: thank you. This footage still makes me maaaad.
And if you’re one of the ravers in here, I'm sorry I don’t know your names. Would be curious if you recognize a friend and tag them? Let me know. 15 years is a long time. BOOMTOWN!!!

2026: my biggest goal is working with original artists and more collabs. Thanks to all of you who have reached out with stems - looking forward to all the new music we make 🤯🎛️🔊

PROBLEM: I want to learn USB Rekord box workflow, but can't afford Pioneer 2000/3000 players.
SOLUTION: get some old broken CDJ 100s and mod them for USB with a Raspberry Pi.

Stay tuned as I try the mod

Jungle / DNB fam...
What city are you listening from?📍

Kick and snare need more weight? Drag a one-shot under the hit and it layers right in. Listen with and without 🔪

Cutlass by Krinjah. First beta testers get it this week, PC and Mac.

Sign up link in bio or comment 🔪 for the sign-up link (no need if you've already done it). If you have filled out the form, you will get it as soon as it goes out.

Jungle drum patterns on tap 🔪🥁

Over 500 of you signed up to test Cutlass, the jungle drum plugin I'm building. Thank you, BIGTIME!! That's a lot of trust to put in one DJ with an idea, and I'm super motivated now.

I was initially planning to stay Windows-only for a while. I don't own a Mac, and Apple charges $100 a year just to let developers release on it. Then hundreds of you ticked "Mac" on the form. So that settles it. I'm committed: Cutlass is coming to Mac too.

A lot of you also picked "Other" for your DAW, and now I'm curious. What are you making jungle in? Drop it in the comments 👇

Want in on the beta? The fastest way is the sign-up link in my bio. Commenting 🔪 still works, but it goes through an auto-reply bot, and I'm sorry it's a bit clunky. I'm not trying to be a cheesy social media guy. It's just the only way I could find to answer hundreds of comments. Beta testing begins early November.

Big big thank,
Krinjah
Ps: i'm using Claude code for the development, and I know it's almost a cliché right now for people making plug-ins this way. I get the jadedness and I'm open to all opinions. Right now it's so exciting -- new possibilities for turning ideas into tools. I value critical feedback and will do everything in my power to respect suggestions. This is not a one and done for me, it's a back-and-forth every day.

Breakbeat in ➡️ Jungle out. Cutlass by Krinjah, (my break chopper), is nearly ready for testers. Comment 🔪 for the beta link 👇 (also in bio)

The OG sample chopper.
Released in the mid 90s, RECYCLE was revolutionary for extracting hits and midi from drum breaks. A lot of you may already have tools in your DAWs that make this irrelevant, but for others, it could be super helpful.
For me, I wanted to start getting into trackers, and needed a way to simplify separating a break into one shots.

Anyone use recycle before? Any thoughts on trackers? (My next rabbit hole)

Small box, big job 🔊

Splitting the sound between my 21″ subs, 15″ horns and tops—another piece of the budget jungle rig coming together.

Quick correction to my Story yesterday: I called this a DSP, but it’s actually an analogue crossover.

Still learning about the processing side, so thanks to everyone who replied with advice and pro gear recommendations. You’ve added a few things to my dream list.. 🤑💰💸

What crossover or DSP are you running in your rig?

Got a SECOND 21" cabinet.
Can't afford drivers yet, but found an empty box on marketplace and jumped on it. 📦📦🔊🔊

How much does it matter if you put ports close together on subwoofers? See how I put one upside down so they're clamshell sort of?

Chopping Jungle music on Ableton with an APC 40 (first gen).
Featuring vocal samples from the 'Garnett Silk meets Conquering Lion' record.

thanks selecta @joyride.mp3 for suggesting I post it.

Club gear is expensive. A pair of CDJ-3000s costs thousands, and a lot of us learn on controllers like the FLX4.

So I'm trying Tribe XR. The free version runs in the browser with my FLX4, and the paid tier (about $10US a month) adds the CDJ-3000s. First impressions only: I still haven't figured out loading tracks, so I'll report back.

If you're just starting out, I'd hold off on paying. If you want to try your FLX4 on in the browser (no account needed), the free version is worth a look as you can add tracks from your PC.

I'm always looking for ways to get booth-ready without club money, from the DIY CDJ mod to cheap standalone setups. Not sponsored.
