We had our first in-person troll stop by the house yesterday. I've had a few online since I posted the reel about Dave hanging our Pride flag, but never one where someone decided to roll up in front of our home and strike up a conversation. And while the interaction wasn't heated in any way, thank heavens, I am in awe of the audacity of that man's need to give voice to his internal ugliness. One of my dear friends has a superstition: your bag must never, EVER touch the ground, or you're basically rolling out the red carpet for financial ruin. No exceptions. Not for just a sec. So when six of us, women who found each other through politics and content-creating, now permanently bonded as a group chat called The Matriarchs, travel together, and Dave's with us, we have a system. That system is Dave.

He doesn't just tolerate the superstition. He commits. He has proudly, unofficially, appointed himself our Bag Boy--a title he carries with the quiet dignity of a man carrying the nuclear codes.

Wherever we go, there's Dave, arms fully loaded with purses, totes, and bags. Human scaffolding against the forces of bad luck, making sure not a single strap so much as whispers against the pavement. No complaints or hesitation, just Dave, radiating the serene focus of a man who has fully accepted that this is his purpose among the Matriarchs. I love that man. ❤️👜 by @kris.and.dave

Well this happened today and I LOVED it! ❤️ I have so much more work to do before I am comfortable public speaking, but Sandy is so good that she puts you at ease. Can we all agree that every kid deserves access to healthcare?

Pete Hegseth has a problem with people who don’t look like him. He’s found plenty of ways to push them out of the military — stripping shaving profiles that disproportionately affect Black servicemembers, blocking promotions of black and female officers, purging trans troops outright.

How many service members, with years or decades of training and experience, are we losing because of his bigotry? by @kris.and.dave
