I just want to say — hi 👋 and thank you! 💛

If we are not yet friends, I’m Kris — a Danish, self-taught illustrator currently living in Sydney, Australia.

I started drawing in 2019, like many others, stuck in a small apartment forever in Vietnam during lockdown — two kids climbing the walls, and me just searching for a quiet moment.

What began as a way to survive the chaos slowly became something much bigger: a daily practice, a creative outlet, and eventually... an unexpected path.

Since then, I’ve drawn every day and I’ve had the chance to work with some lovely lovely people, bringing my illustrations into prints, products, and everyday art that lives in people’s spaces.

I’m still learning, still growing — but I’m here, building this one drawing at a time. And I’m so grateful for this journey.

These monkeys have been everywhere with me and my iPad. But now they are done. I actually ended up charging the color and I must say they look pretty nice. If you feel like this would be interesting for a product you’re working on ping me and I’ll share the collection with you. by @kris_kehlet

So I’m curious. What would you love to see made as a pattern? What do you see trending out there? What weirdness should be made just because it can be made?
