Yo, world, turn the monitors up. 🔊

We couldn’t even lock ourselves in the same studio—with @krisengebeat in Germany and @stafbeats / @illyastaf in Russia, this whole project was built across borders. But when you hear the result, you’d think we were sitting side-by-side in the same locker room preparing for a championship run. 🎽🏆

Here’s a taste of „Hoop Dreams.“ Just like the cover artwork, this project is built straight for the blacktop. We talking crisp, neck-snapping drums and dusty, soulful samples layered up for the heat of the season. Pure global summer vibes for your neighborhood court. ☀️🏀🔥

Lace up your high-tops and get in the game:

📼 Physical Tapes are available right now on Bandcamp: thegetdownrecords.bandcamp.com

📱 Digital Drop: 17.07. on all streaming platforms

Let the speakers bleed worldwide. Keep it raw! 💯🔥

Yo yo bruvaz and sistarz! 🙌🌍The Get Down Records is proud to announce a heavyweight instrumental summit between two of the label's foundational pillars: Germany's rhythm specialist Krisengebeat and Russia's beat architect Staf Beats 🤜🥁🤛
.
Having both released numerous projects via the label, this collaboration is built on years of mutual respect and a shared devotion to the craft. As long-time representatives of the GDR Family worldwide, these two producers unite their distinct styles to deliver a global statement for authentic Hip-Hop culture 😎

"Rhythm & Beats" - Hardware dialogue: MPC2000XL vs. SP-1200 🔊💥🤯
.

.
This isn't just another beattape - it's a masterclass in boom-bap craftsmanship. Drawing deep inspiration from the 1990's Golden Era, the duo has engineered a 17-track instrumental journey that pits the iconic, soulful swing of the MPC2000XL against the legendary, bit-crushed grit of the SP-1200. The result is a sonic dialogue that captures the raw, unpolished essence of Hip-Hop's most celebrated decade 💾🎚️🎶 🏀🌇

The story behind „Get Down“… 📝🎶

When @declaime_x contacted me out of the blue, I knew we had to make this happen. As a fan of his work since the early days, this collab felt like a full-circle moment.

To capture that raw energy, I went straight to the SP1200 to grind out the instrumental — pure 12-bit dirt and swing. I even had his „In the Beginning“ series on heavy rotation while sketching the cover art to stay in that mental zone. ✍️🎨

Seeing this Berlin-to-Oxnard connection come to life is something special. Thanks to everyone bumping it so far!

Still haven’t heard it? Link in Bio! 🔗🚨

OUT NOW! 🚨 „Get Down“ is officially live on all platforms.

Producer Krisengebeat returns with a heavyweight international collaboration, bringing the legendary Declaime (aka Dudley Perkins) onto his latest track.

As a longtime fan of the Stones Throw aesthetic and Declaime’s work with Lootpack and Madlib, I crafted this beat as a tribute to the raw underground sound. To capture that unmistakable dirt and swing, the track was produced exclusively using the „holy grail“ of samplers: the SP1200 💾🎚️💥🥁

„Get Down“ is a meeting of two worlds—Berlin analog craftsmanship and Oxnard’s psychedelic hip-hop soul.
