Losing your soul pet is such a complicated kind of grief. They become so woven into your life that you don’t even realize all the little ways they’re part of your day until they’re gone.

You still listen for their nails on the floor. The clanging of their collar. You feel something move on the blanket and for half a second you think it’s them. You look toward their favorite spot without even realizing you’re doing it.

Almost 10 months later and I still miss the smallest things. The things I probably never even thought twice about when he was here.

People say, “It’s just a dog.” But anyone who has loved a dog this deeply knows there is no “just.” They are family. They are your comfort, your routine, your constant. They’re there for some of the biggest moments of your life and thousands of completely ordinary ones. And honestly, sometimes it’s those ordinary moments I miss the most.

Life keeps moving. You laugh again. You make new memories. You can be genuinely happy and still carry this ache for them at the same time.

I don’t cry every day anymore. But I miss him every single day.

And if you’ve ever lost a pet who was a piece of your soul, you’re not alone. Don’t ever let anyone make you feel like you’re grieving too much, for too long, or that you should be “over it” because they were an animal. There is no timeline for grieving someone you loved. The love was real, so the loss is real too.

Almost 10 months without my Rocky. I’m learning how to live without him here but I don’t think I’ll ever stop missing him.

And I would still give anything to hear those little nails on the floor one more time 🤍

A meaningful morning honoring those who have served our country 🇺🇸❤️ Today we had the honor of attending Hospice of Orange & Sullivan’s Veterans Brunch, A Salute to Service.

With more than 17,000 veterans calling Orange County home, creating opportunities for them to come together, share their experiences, build connections, and support one another is so important. Veterans supporting veterans was truly at the heart of today’s gathering.

It was an honor to take photos and videos for the event, and to be a small part of such a special morning capturing the stories, camaraderie, and sense of community in the room.

We filled the F-150! 🛻❤️ Thanks to the generosity of our employees, customers and community, we were able to deliver a truckload of food to The Warwick Food Pantry as part of Ford’s Building Together Food Drive!

We also had the pleasure of meeting Charles, who manages the pantry, and learning a little more about the incredible work they do to help individuals and families right here in our Warwick community.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated and helped us fill the truck. We’re so proud to be part of a community that shows up for its neighbors. 💙
