Congratulations to the passionate professor Dr. Sean Massey and his entire team (as I called them his “children”) of the @gmhc Voices Collection and the launch at The Graduate Center, CUNY. I was honored to be part of a moving discussion with Sean, and Lawrence Mass ❤️ about GMHC “then and now” from a personal point of view. My thanks to the supreme GMHC Alumni and current staff who attended the discussion. Thank you to Loren Couch for his support and care. I had the glorious pleasure of seeing one of my favorite movies—for a fifth time—@moonlightmov at the AMC Theater in Times Square. This movie is devastatingly beautiful, moving and powerful. The realities of the characters are still harsh, painful, relevant and yet filled with resilience and hope today. I swooned again during my favorite scene in a diner and cried again during the last two scenes. After the film, there was a short video about how the film was made to honor the 10th anniversary of this film. 💙💜🖤 by @krishna.stone

TITLE CHANGES! On Saturday, August 22nd, I worked at @the.latex.ball hosted by @gmhc. The extensive event was filled with intensely creative, dramatic and passionate performances in each of the categories. Early in the evening, I heard an announcement, “Krishna Stone, please report to the stage.” And I thought, “Oh no, what happened?!” When I arrived on stage, I was still confused. Then I saw the plaque on the judges table and I started to cry. In a flash of a marvelous moment, I was deemed an ICON and made the Official QUEEN MOTHER of the Iconic House of Latex by the Iconic @itsdchristian and Iconic @lunalens (a/k/a Luna Khan)! Then—while still crying—I asked, “What do I do now?” Dominique said, “Walk!” So I tapped into my queen mother powers and walked the runway. The cheering from the crowd was stunning. When I returned to the judges table, Luna asked if I wanted to say a few words. While reluctant at first, I did speak briefly while still crying. I received hugs from folks on the stage and then headed back to work.

My immense thanks to Dominique for what he beautifully shared about me too. I love him and Luna very much and am deeply grateful for their long-lasting gifts. For the rest of the evening, I continued to receive congratulations from more folks as well. I look forward to seeing the video footage and photos of that magical experience. 💛⭐️💛 by @krishna.stone

June 30 marks my 33rd work anniversary at @gmhc. I wanted to pause and thank folks. While I am relieved that June is over, there were some glorious moments, and I did a little better while asking for help, and getting some rest. And tomorrow is July 1…onward…💚 by @krishna.stone

Congratulations to the dedicated @bronxbpgibson Vanessa L. Gibson and her staff for organizing The Office of The Bronx Borough President Pride March. Kudos to the community leaders, staff and members, elected officials, officers of Police Precinct 44, and photographers for their work. Longtime and new partnerships are key for @gmhc and other HIV and AIDS service organizations to provide services and programs throughout NYC for people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS, the LGBTQ community, veterans, immigrants, people with histories of incarceration and more. It is Sunday and I called a few folks to wish them a Happy New Year after the @nyknicks won the championship. I did this after the first time my “husband in spirit” President @barackobama historically won the election. The streets in Fort Greene Brooklyn were packed with people last night celebrating this historical win. Happy New Year! We needed the Knicks to win. 🧡💙 by @krishna.stone
