2025… What a ride.This year also marks my first full year working independently. Honestly — not too shabby. 10+ brands created or reworked,from strategy to packaging. 3 videos shot. And maaaany more important things done along the way. 💪🏼

What i love is disciplined freedom. Personal and professional. I like to do my morning jog and watch people rush somewhere… or getting an early-morning text saying “yo, dude, it’s pumping” — and suddenly I disappear for half a workday to go surf. Ideas show up later, somewhere on the way back, sitting at a gas station, ordering a sandwich au thon. Somehow it all connects. And somehow, everything still gets delivered on time and at the highest standards.

And lastly — gratitude. 🙏🏻 Huge thanks to the clients who trusted me, pushed me, and believed in the process.Without you, this year simply wouldn’t be what it was. Here’s to what we built together — and what’s still coming. taken in Riga, Latvia by @krisjanissteins

Kādu laiku atpakaļ man kā iecavniekam, bija iespeja piedalīties sev nozīmīgā projektā – Iecavas jauniešu centra logotipa un radošā koncepta izstrādē. Kad @lainebaha uzrunāja mani iesaistīties kā žūrijas loceklim logotipa ideju konkursā, sapratu, ka jāmetas šajā avantūrā iekšā. Kopā izskatījām daudz un dažādas versijas, taču Rodrigo Galana ideja uzreiz palika atmiņā ar savu monolīto, bet vienlaikus playful raksturu.

Kad skice bija izvēlēta, man uzticēja nākamo soli – izstrādāt radošo konceptu un vizuālo identitāti. Strādāju pie tā, lai vizuālā valoda būtu iedvesmojoša, piederīga un vienlaikus atvērta, radot platformu, zem kuras novada jaunieši var vērtīgi un lietderīgi pavadīt laiku, attīstīties un būt kopā.

Šis process bija lieliska iespēja ieguldīt savā dzimtajā vietā, veidojot identitāti vietai, kas turpmāk jēgpilni iedvesmos jauniešus Iecavā un tās apkārtnē. 🕺🏻 taken in Iecava by @krisjanissteins

Unfortunately, the third day of hiking also marks the end of this hiking trip. the season is coming to an end and the weather in the highlands is becoming more and more unpredictable. when I walked half of the planned route, the hikers I met said that the next part or even the all trail will not suitable due to the possibilities of first snow and some difficult-to cross rivers.

Climbing the highlands of Iceland strips away the illusions of control, revealing the vastness and indifference of nature. In that stark, unforgiving landscape, fake courage and arrogance become deadly—blinding you to the very real dangers around every corner. A single misstep, fueled by overconfidence, can turn the awe-inspiring beauty into a fatal descent, reminding you how fragile and small you truly are. 🇮🇸 taken in Þórsmörk-Básar by @krisjanissteins

Day Two on the Fimmvörðuháls trail started with a relentless wind that howled through the mountains, the kind that made every step feel like a battle. The morning sky was a sullen grey, clouds hanging low and threatening, as if the heavens themselves were warning me to turn back. But I was determined. I had come too far to let fear dictate my path.

The first real challenge of the day came as I approached the narrow ridge. The wind had only grown stronger, and now it threatened to throw me off balance with every step. The ground beneath my feet was loose and treacherous, each rock seeming to shift under my weight. I gripped my trekking poles tightly, focusing on each step, willing myself to move forward.

Every muscle in my body screamed for rest, but I knew stopping now would only make things worse. The cold seeped through my clothes, biting into my skin and chilling me to the bone. Bassicly, i was alone, surrounded by nothing but the unforgiving elements, and the only way out was forward.

It was a dangerous journey. Also it was a journey that reminded me of the sheer power and beauty of Iceland’s nature—and of the resilience that lies within us all when we dare to face the unknown. 🇮🇸 #laugavegur #fimmvörðuháls taken in Þórsmörk-Básar by @krisjanissteins
