🏰⛓️ What if the battlements of a medieval wall dissolved into a single, continuous line? That was the starting point of Merlets de Muralla, a temporary installation created by Elisava students in collaboration with @kriskadecor for their centenary exhibition “100 Years of Inspiring Emotions.” Using aluminium chains, they visually completed the profile of Montblanc’s medieval walls, forming a lightweight, fully reversible pavilion that sits alongside the stone without touching it or leaving any trace. Light filters through the chains, creating shifting shadows and reflections that change as visitors move, inviting them to experience the walls not as a barrier, but as a place for gathering and connection between past and present. "Làmpada" | 100 Years Inspiring Emotions To mark our centenary, we have launched "100 Years Inspiring Emotions", a temporary exhibition that invites visitors to rediscover Montblanc through aluminium chains. To celebrate this milestone alongside the town where our story began, we invited several design schools to create site-specific installations inspired by some of Montblanc's most iconic locations. At the same time, pupils from two local primary schools took part in a drawing competition, with four of their artworks also becoming part of the exhibition. The journey begins with "Làmpada", installed at the Portal de Sant Jordi. Inspired by the medieval character of Montblanc, the piece creates a dialogue between heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary design through a circular composition formed by concentric layers of aluminium chains. This year, we celebrate 100 years of history. A century in which a family business founded in Montblanc (Tarragona, Spain) has built its journey, one chain link at a time. Today, we continue to believe that the best ideas come from people, collaboration, and the ability to transform spaces through aluminium chains. There are spaces where every element seems to speak the same language. At @regnumthecrown Hotel in Antalya (Turkey), @studioerk creates an experience shaped by continuity, natural materials and an atmosphere designed to be enjoyed at a slower pace. Following the fluid language of the interior design, the studio integrated aluminium chains into the lobby through a suspended ceiling feature that accompanies the visitor journey. Their curved forms filter light, add depth and change subtly with movement and the passing of time. An intervention designed to integrate naturally into the architecture and reinforce the sense of balance that runs throughout the project. What makes a space memorable to you? Some projects remain alive long after their inauguration. This year, three particularly significant milestones also converge within the same space: we celebrate 100 years of our history, the centenary of Antoni Gaudí is commemorated, and it has now been five years since our participation in Kengo Kuma’s intervention for @casabatllo. A project where architecture, light and movement continue to engage in dialogue over time. The aluminium chains accompany visitors from the skylight down to the former coal cellars, creating a large vertical cascade around the eight-storey staircase while integrating naturally into Gaudí’s universe. The façade as a brand experience at Disneyland Paris 🎠 Located in Disney Village, the shopping and leisure district of Disneyland Paris, the new Disney Glamour store reinterprets the visual universe of “It’s a small world”, one of the park’s most iconic attractions and a landmark work by artist Mary Blair, a key figure in shaping the company’s distinctive colour language. Set in a space open to the public all year round, the façade becomes a visual focal point within the complex, acting as a threshold between the public realm and the brand experience. In the context of retail design, the project strengthens the identity of its surroundings while welcoming visitors with an aesthetic that has inspired generations. The composition is structured around eight carefully selected RAL colours that preserve the spirit of the artist: luminous whites, deep blues and subtle golden accents that add depth and bring the façade to life, changing with the light throughout the day. Chains that echo the marks left by the sea on the sand 🌊 Sydney Airport’s Terminal 3 has been designed to invite travellers to slow down and enjoy the moment through noble finishes, subtle curves and carefully considered details that shape the space. Behind the @heinemann_anz logo, a Kriskadecor ceiling feature unfolds, its sequence of flowing, sinuous waves evoking the delicate marks left by the sea on the sand. This installation, subtle yet full of intention, brings texture, rhythm and depth to the environment. The 628 m² of aluminium chain that define this distinctive movement transform the terminal into a place where architecture tells a story, connecting travellers with the serenity of Sydney’s coastal landscape. The result is a retail environment designed not only to sell, but to welcome, move and accompany people. Just a few steps from the centre of Funchal, the @savoypalace redefines the concept of luxury hospitality in Madeira. Classic and timeless in character, the hotel is influenced by the elegance of the Belle Époque. Its interior design, conceived as a tribute to the island’s history and natural landscape, blends art, nature and local craftsmanship into a truly unique sensory experience. The spacious lobby takes on a special character with the Kriskadecor chandelier, a large sculptural piece that brings personality to the space. The luminous fall of the aluminium chains evokes the flow of water and the natural movement of the waterfalls that define Madeira’s landscape. The reflections it creates fill the room with a soft, enveloping light. Paired with a large mirror that enhances its visual impact, the result is a space that conveys a sense of openness, elegance and a warm, unforgettable welcome. What do you think about it?
