One of my first self-tapes.

Back when tripods weren’t readily available, landscape filming wasn’t a thing, and apparently THIS was how we did self-tapes. 😂

Singing “Cadillac Car” from Dreamgirls and paying homage to the incredible Tony Award Winner, Ben Harney, the original Curtis Taylor Jr. on Broadway.

Ben had one of the smoothest, richest voices to ever grace the Broadway stage. A serious vocalist and a major part of the Dreamgirls legacy.

Funny to look back at where some of these tapes started… but the love for the work was always there.

Ok, ok, ok… I get it. I don’t post nearly enough of the shows I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of. I’ll do better—I promise.

So here’s one of my absolute favorite roles: Narrator in Passing Strange at the Wilma Theater in Philadelphia. Written by Stew, directed by Tea Alagić, and choreographed by Constantine Baecher, alongside an incredible cast.

This production was truly magical. One of those rare experiences where the music, the storytelling, and the people all came together to create something unforgettable.

Behind the scenes of a Zoom audition: my ear randomly stopped hearing the same note for 15 minutes. Because apparently audition prep wasn’t challenging enough. 🤣

Most people only see the polished 3-minute performance. What they don’t see are the countless hours spent learning music that arrived yesterday, memorizing lyrics, refining details, and trying to make it all look effortless by audition time.

TBT to the South Korean tour of Sister Act 🇰🇷

Proof that theater kids physically cannot take a normal picture. Somebody always has to do the most. 😂

Throwback Thursday. To my younger self: You did good.

A little love to the younger version of me who kept pushing, kept believing, and kept showing up, even when the road wasn’t easy.
Today, I celebrate that young man for his hard work, perseverance, and the courage to keep going. Every challenge, every sacrifice, and every dream helped lay the foundation for the life and world I stand in today.
To my younger self: You did good. And to anyone out there still fighting for the life they envision, keep going. Even when the road gets rough, you’re building something that matters. One day, you’ll look back and realize just how far you’ve come. ❤️

This had me laughing this morning! 😂 My translation of what the living legend, Janet Jackson, THE Blueprint, was thinking while eating Hot Cheetos. 💀🔥

Had to jump on the A Different World trend in honor of the show’s reboot! 💙
Love to all my HBCUs, but especially MY Hampton University! 💙
The lessons, the values, the friendships, and the love you get from an HBCU are immeasurable. Choosing Hampton was the best decision I ever made in my life. And I’d make it all over again.
HU, you know! 💙⚓️
