August marks six years of being a hairstylist and the beginning of a new chapter as a salon owner.

This career has given me more than I ever could have imagined with the love I’ve found in my work and the people I’ve had the privilege of sharing it with.

Avery Jacob,
Yesterday was the last day we got to spend with you out of the 14 wonderful years of your life. I was 12 years old when we found you and I still remember the power point presentation I made that night to convince mom and dad to let us keep you. Thankfully they said yes. Since then we’ve been forever changed. You’ve been the joy of our life.

Anytime we couldn’t find you, you were always outside laying in the sunshine. It was truly your favorite place. I hope you feel every amount of peace that it brought you. I hope the grass is greener where you’re going and the sun never stops shining. I hope you’ve been running and playing for so long that you haven’t even had time to miss us. You are finally at peace.
