I’ve been too busy, or sick, or just over being online to post *but* I also want to share some pics and video clips of some of the wonderful drag performances I had the pleasure of watching -and tipping- during this year’s fantastic @bushwig festival. I wish I knew all the gorgeous Queen’s names, and this is only a sampling but my goodness did attending bring me so much joy. The love in every interaction had me feeling high and seen and I just want to share it here because though it was a rainy day and evening, the show went on with so much love. My heart fills back up just reminiscing and my purse was full of merch, free lube and condoms as I rode the subway home wishing every day was Bushwig Day. Shout out to 3 Dollar Bill/9 Bob Note/The Yard for being such a cool venue. My third year attending and honestly, my favorite!

Edit: ADOPTED!!World, meet Pretty! This sweet little 1yr old pocket pittie has been settling into home life since I picked her up from @aspca several days ago.
She’ll be joining another foster home this weekend but I wanted to share her beautiful face and tiny frame -she’s under 50lbs!- before she goes.
A big-time lover of toys she can chew and unstuff, and a huge lover of people and other dogs, I believe Pretty would thrive in a home with plenty of playtime and cuddles, because she is indeed a lover girl.
She’s being fostered with @muddypawsrescuenyc and isn’t available for adoption yet, but in the meantime she’s thriving out of the shelter. I call her Pretty Girl 🥰

I recently got an @embarkvet test kit to finally see what breeds make up my bat sausage dog, Zurie.
Always knew she was part terrier or dachshund, but I never could’ve guessed she was that, and more!
She’s like so many other rescue pups—one of a kind.💜

One week ago today, I lost a piece of my heart when the sweetest, best and most loyal girl passed away. Her name was Lucy, she was 12yrs old. She knew no suffering, despite the sudden diagnosis—a mass on her spleen, which had remained dormant all this time, had burst and she was bleeding internally-only that she was very tired.

Nearly 8yrs since we met, Lucy had become family and I never felt more protected than when we were together.

It’s hard to accept having to say goodbye when days, weeks and months prior she was wrestling in the park with her brother and best friend. But life is unfair like that sometimes. I am so grateful to have shared so many moments with her, and naps, and cuddles, and pictures, thank goodness for all the pictures I took. Not like I could forget her.

Meeting Lucy and her late brother, Morton marked the beginning of a whole new life when I relocated from San Francisco to my hometown of New York. I couldn’t look back on these past 8yrs and not feel her presence sprinkled throughout.
That is why she may be gone from this earth, but she is always loved and missed, her memory cherished.
Most of all her passing is a reminder, take nothing for granted, time is nothing if not fleeting. by @kristinarabbit

Annnnnnd ADOPTED!!! 🎉So glad we spent the early afternoon at the park making memories. I had a feeling today would be the day. Going to take a short break from fostering, but boy is it rewarding!💞 And we’ll keep in touch and she’s keeping her name!

Elle is still available for adoption, a fact which baffles me! Wherever Zurie goes, she’s not far behind, always wanting to share the attention. Throughout the last couple months, she has been an absolute angel, politely offering her paw to anyone she meets. She’s even begun playing with squeaky toys, though never destructive with them.
Spread the word, this girl deserves the best forever home! 💜 @muddypawsrescuenyc
