I’m looking at light differently more and more every day. Everywhere I go, including my closet today, I’m noticing the dual nature of how light lays on the subject and shadows attach right next to it. Today, I caught a glimpse of myself on the mirror as I was walking into my closet and noticed the stark contrast on my face and had to grab my camera and see if I could capture the moment with the 3pm light. The image turned out pretty cool IMHO and I thought I’d share as I learn and go along my photography journey. This is my scary serious face 🤪not so cute but quite fitting with all the darkness the bathroom evokes 😈 I’m finding if you look for art in every corner of your world you’ll always be entertained. #Leica Q2

“What must I give more death to today, in order to generate more life? What not-beauty do I fear? What should die today? What should live?” As we prune our inner garden, we have to take care to recognize that even the not-beautiful is useful. I don’t want to run from the not-beautiful. I want to face it head on, within me, within others, within my relationships. When I face the not-beautiful, I remember that the difference between a weed and a flower is perception, and that I need only shift my perception to find the beauty in the not-beautiful as well. And sometimes, we can prune and weed our garden. But it must be us in there, doing the work, facing it all head-on. What are the not-beautiful parts within yourself, your relationships, or your environment that you need to confront and acknowledge? Can you see how staying in the trenches will transform you? by @kristinavision

For any of you ladies out there who grew up in the ballet studio like I did or just love learning choreography and dancing in a group setting you’ve gotta check out @divadancencsatx @divadancenewbraunfels I started last week with a hip hop class then last night with a heels class. It is absolutely what I’ve been looking for for a long time! It’s the perfect pace of learning for each 1 hour class and the instructor I’ve experienced is amazing! All the people who show up for class are so fun and supportive and it’s truly a wonderful time! Can’t say enough good things about this form of exercise and it’s great for your brain because it forces you to memorize and use that part of your brain. Hope to see some of my friends there!#divadanceatx I think I ❤️ you taken in DivaDance San Antonio by @kristinavision

Had a BLAST at @wittemuseum Party of the Century, celebrating 100 years of discovery, history, and everything Texas!

And my favorite part? IT ALL STARTED WITH #BLUEBONNETS!! 💙 100 years ago, a San Antonio teacher and her students sold bluebonnet seeds and flowers to raise money for what would become the Witte’s very first collection! How cool is that?!

HUGE congratulations to the incredible woman, San Antonian, mother, and friend @susansellers86 for leading the charge as Board Chair and to the amazing Witte staff for a party to remember!

Happy 100th, Witte Museum!! 🥂💙 Next stop… GAME DINNER! taken in Witte Museum by @kristinavision

I’ve always admired the @elmontanhotel’s cool sign and mid century style accommodations/ entry area and thought it would make a cool backdrop for photographing Kyle’s ‘72 Chevelle and a model. I drug Kyle down there at the blue hour last night and I can see I was right! Looking for a model to join in on the next shoot to round out my idea. Photoshopped all the background telephone poles/ wires and businesses out of the background to create a Palm Springs type look. Obvi I amped up the skies color from the blue hour as well as ensures all neon letters of the sign are restored to their original regalia. I shot with my Leica, however, this shot was made with my iPhone 17 and was the first shot to check the centering of the vehicle. All in all I think it’s a cool shot! #1972chevelle #chevelle #elmontanhotel #artsyminxohotography taken in El Montan Motor Hotel by @kristinavision

After 10 laborious months @snakeeaterperformance has delivered the car of Kyle’s dreams! He can’t wait to get it home, detail it and show it off @slowsundays and @ferrariofsanantonio first Saturday’s events. Next video will be of the loudness this bad boy puts off. This classic will be one of the baddest Chevelle’s on the road for sure, guaranteed to piss any granny off unlucky enough to be waiting at a red light next to him. 😂#chevellefromhell #snakeeaterperformance #loudandproud taken in Snake Eater Performance by @kristinavision
