Kristin Farr (@kristinfarr) is an artist, curator, and color visionary whose work is guided by folk art practices and her lifelong experience with synesthesia. She has painted large-scale murals locally and internationally, created objects across media, and produced KQED’s Emmy-winning 𝘈𝘳𝘵 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 series. She’s also contributed as a curator and journalist for Juxtapoz Magazine and helped launch Facebook’s original artist-in-residence program.

We’re so excited to have Kristin on our team, working to transform Art + Water’s interior space. You can expect playful, immersive furniture, from massive fruit cushions to a 20-foot couch, bringing color, playfulness, and energy to our shared spaces. Her work will be a part of making this space a welcoming hub where visitors, artists, and the community can gather and experience creativity together. taken in Pier 29 by @kristinfarr

Sunday, October 4th, 3 - 6pm.

@kristinfarr will be here with Earl; @rustyladle will provide some complimentary drinks and snacks, and there might be a couple more surprises.

I was invited out to Kristin’s studio and she graciously agreed to be interviewed. Please enjoy the following:

This is the last week to see Kristin Farr's glorious exhibition here at the gallery. It has been a joy working with Kristin, watching people light up and constantly cleaning the windows of the hand and nose wipes of the kiddos who have been completely drawn in by her work.

I am around all week, so please stop by!
