POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Well – we did it. After much contemplation and consideration, as well as a few tests over the holidays, we launched a series we are calling “Cycling Together with Kristin & Steve.”

For our first episode, we talked about how, instead of resolutions, we make plans to ride! We share why we like organized rides, where we find rides, and what factors go into the final calendar. Plus some memories from rides gone by and what rides are on our list for 2025 and beyond.

You can find Cycling Together with Kristin & Steve on our website at CyclingTogether.Bike or on the STBG YouTube channel. The plan, after we crosse the finish line on a couple of episodes, is to expand to allow people to listen on their favorite podcasting app.

We have lots of ideas for upcoming editions but we’d love to hear from you on topics, or questions, for the show.

And a shout out to Chris and Jeff for helping as we brainstormed name ideas!

“Have you ever heard her laugh? She’s crazy. You can tell a lot from a laugh. She’s nuts.”

This is my reminder to all those in the sound of my post that it is most often women who are subject to a double standard when it comes to tone, appearance and overall personality.

So whether it is in politics, business, or just life, if the "best" criticism you have about a person is how they express joy, then I would ask you to check yourself and your bias.

Kristin and Steve discuss how, uncecessarily raising the bar on simple things like, how to clean your chain, are just one way cyclists inadvertantly (we hope) gatekeep the activity from new riders. #cycling #bikemaintenance #DIYbike #cyclinglife #bikerepair by @kristinsb

Spent the weekend at New England Youth Cycling’s Coaches Retreat at Highland Mountain Bike Park. It was a spectacular weekend of learning, connecting with coaches from across the league, and taking time to build some of our own riding skills. by @kristinsb

Before our son left for his new job in Chicago, we sat down with him and his sister to answer the question "how do I get my kids to ride a bike?" On this photo-heavy edition we share memories and reflect on lessons learned through years of riding and racing.

Thank you Anders and Sophie for sharing your insights and ideas - and letting us use pictures from the past!

We'd love to hear how you aregetting your kids to ride – leave a voicemail on the "Fan Mail" link in each episode or a comment at CyclingTogether.bike.

Our son is preparing to move out of state on Sunday - and while it’s time, I’m not entirely ready.

And apparently that has me feeling all the feelings on Substack (do we still call this blogging?) by @kristinsb

Erin told me I had to try Substack… so here we are. Or I should say, here I am with my first (and possible only?) post.

I believe it can be found at kristinsb.substack.com. by @kristinsb
