Let go……

a term I’ve heard my entire life.
let go of dreams
let go of hurt feelings
let go of expectations
let go of love lost
let go let go let go

i will never let go! i will hold my hurt :: my pain :: my loneliness :: my mistakes :: and my love with everything that I’ve got!

to let go would erase who I am. it would change all the things that make me who I am. it would take pieces of me away. pieces that I am so blessed to have had.

i held my memories and let them pour into the lake that molded so much of me. a home. a place my heart will live on :: and continue to grow
