Ruby & Alvin met in Hong Kong, and later made the move to the UK together, which somehow brought us back to one of London’s most quietly beautiful little spaces, Fitzrovia Chapel.

It’s very much an if you know, you know kind of place. Tucked away in the middle of Fitzrovia, understated from the outside, but incredibly ornate and well known within the art and design world. The last time we photographed a wedding here was three years ago, so it felt especially lovely to return.

Their reception was another London hidden gem: Brunswick House. Part restaurant, part antique gallery, and full of character, almost everything you see inside is actually for sale.

Alvin told us they first came across it after noticing that quite a few couples getting married at Fitzrovia Chapel also chose Brunswick House for their reception. And we can completely see why.

From the outside, it looks small and unassuming. Step inside and it just keeps going, room after room, layers of antiques, beautiful little corners, and even a basement downstairs.

Such a good pairing of venues for a London wedding: intimate, artistic, slightly eccentric, and full of personality.

And, very importantly, the food was genuinely good too. Even the staff meal got our approval. 🤍
