HYROX DEBUT 😭😭

- and what a privilege it was to do this on my birthday.

Waking up on the day, I was incredibly anxious, restless and overthinking all the possibilities of what could happen.

This antsy feeling lasted until I stepped foot into the CTICC, where seeing my friends just completely released all the tension in my body, with everything falling into place. I knew everything was going to be okay as soon as we spoke Jesus over everything and prayed in gratitude for healthy, able bodies and the opportunity to challenge ourselves in this way 🤍

All the small moments leading up to this suddenly felt worth it - the early mornings, the sore muscles, the sessions where I had to push through mentally more than physically, and learning to trust my body instead of fight it.

And that’s what this was about for me: showing up. Even when it felt uncomfortable. Even when I knew it was going to be difficult. Even when I wasn’t sure.

I’m so grateful for the strength God has given me, for the people who stood next to me through this, and for a body that carried me through every single station and run. What a way to step into a new year of life 🥹

Grateful, proud, and very sore 😂

On to the next 🏁
