About 5 years ago I was plopped on my couch watching Rush Hour when I suddenly had the thought “Hey, that looks kinda cool. I wanna try doing martial arts”.

Fast forward about 5 years later…

I’m on stage with JACKIE CHAN.

The man who inspired me to begin my martial arts journey.

What a beautiful, full-circle moment.

The Jackie Chan Stunt Team 50th Anniversary x The 7th Jackie Chan International Action Film Week Closing Ceremony

What an honor it was to be invited to these events with my fellow @jcstcamp campers.

Thank you for everything, Coach @kungfuphilip 🙏 From teaching me everything I know, to giving me opportunities like this. I wouldn’t be where I am today without you.

20 cities, 46 shows, 23 hotels, 5825 miles traveled, 145 airbrush sessions, 82,500 lives impacted, and 1 broken tooth.

That’s a wrap on season 2, The Thorn Spring Tour ‘26.

This tour in particular is going to hold a special place in my heart for a very long time.

Words cannot express the thoughts and emotions going through me. All I know is that I needed to be here. I needed to experience everything that I have gone through. This tour and this team have brought out the best of me, on and off stage. And I am beyond proud of myself.

It was difficult, and it definitely wasn’t all good times. But it truly has been the greatest time of my life. The laughs, the cheers, the sweat, and the tears. Memories made and lessons learned. Challenges conquered and goals achieved. I will cherish it all.

To my castmates, my crewmates, my mentors, my brothers and sisters. Thank you so much for supporting, encouraging, and lifting me.

Thank you, Lord, for guiding me onto this path and allowing me to be amongst some of the greatest people I’ve ever met, using our talents and gifts that you’ve blessed us with, to share the greatest story in the world.

To my younger self,

This was for you.

Ninjas, we have successfully completed Lloyd’s Elemental Challenge!

Thus ends my first contract and one of the greatest opportunities I have ever had the privilege to experience.

As we take our final bows…

A huge thank you to my fellow cast and crew for working so hard and making this show as great and successful as it was, thank you to Coach @kungfuphilip for encouraging me to go for this opportunity, and thank you to @allwheelsports for taking a chance with me.

I’ve only been on my martial arts journey for 3 years, and I never would have guessed that this is where my path would lead me. I am beyond grateful and I hope to continue to work hard along this path.

I’ve learned a lot during this contract. Above all else, I learned a lot about myself. I’ve always struggled to allow myself to accept that I can be great and do amazing things. I now truly see that I am able. I believe that my time in this production has brought out the best of me, both on and off stage. Of course, there’s still an insurmountable number of things I can work on. But this has definitely been a huge step in the right direction.

As this adventure ends, I’m looking forward to whatever comes next!

🔴 LEVEL UP 🔴

I think it’s safe to say that the duration of my previous belt to this new belt was by far the most difficult and strenuous fight in my martial journey so far.

Being away from home on two national tours, I knew I had to work extra hard to keep up with my training. I’ve had to overcome both physical and mental battles on levels that I never thought I would ever have to experience. I had reached levels of exhaustion that literally brought me to tears and drove me to thoughts of just wanting to fall apart. And yet, I’m still standing, still growing, still learning, and still kicking.

As I continue my journey and put on this new belt, I hope to continue doing what I have always strived to do from the beginning:

Inspire others like those who have inspired me.

Whether it’s on the floor or off floor, on stage or off stage, in the school or out of the school, I just want to show that someone like me can do something like this.

I can’t express the amount of gratitude for my coaches at @kstar.lv, the two men who have pushed me beyond my limits, taught me everything I know, and have helped me discover the strength I never knew I had, both externally and internally. With every part of my being, thank you for never giving up on me Coach @kungfuphilip and Coach @wushusebastian .

I can’t wait to put more memories, experiences, and achievements under this belt.

It’s hard. It hurts. And there’s definitely no timeline. But the journey is so worth it. There’s still so much to learn. Let’s get it!

I thought to myself…

“Hey, maybe I can do that…”

5 years ago today I stepped into my first martial arts class. And thus, my journey had begun.

What can I say about the last 5 years…What is there TO say? What started as a simple hobby has become something I cannot see my future days without.

The things that I’ve done, the people I’ve met, the places I’ve gone…the younger version of myself would not in a million years believe the life we are living today.

I really don’t know what to say. Thank you to my coaches, my team, my mentors, and everyone who has been along this journey with me. Whether we are still kicking it today, or if life has sent us our separate ways, everyone who I have come across has impacted my journey in some way. And I would not be the person, the athlete, and the artist I am today without every one of you.

With that being said, the learning never stops, the growth doesn’t end, and the eagerness fails to fade. I’m ready for the next year and the years beyond. 5 years down, a lifetime to go.

I’ll never be the best out there. And I don’t care to be the best. My goal, in everything and all that I do, is to inspire others like those who have inspired me. I just want other people to be able to see me, whether on a stage, on a screen, on the training floor, or wherever, and think to themselves…
