The universe was never created by one force alone. When Shiva and Shakti stood before each other, the masculine didn’t overpower the feminine. The feminine didn’t overpower the masculine. Together, they became the force that sustains existence- balance. ✨ The Divine Balance. #santulan #clothingbrand #shivshakti #ardhnareshwar #shopnow by @kritikavarshneyofficial

THE DIVINE BALANCE- This design is a tribute to Santulan. On the back is Ardhanarishvara, the sacred union of Shiva and Shakti, representing the harmony between masculine and feminine energies. Shiva’s side is accompanied by the moon and flowing water, symbols of stillness, depth, and inner silence, while Shakti’s side radiates through the sun and fire, embodying creation, passion, and transformative energy. At the throat rests a blue Yin Yang, inspired by Neelkanth Shiva’s ability to hold poison without becoming poisoned- a reminder to remain balanced amidst chaos. Shiva’s Damru signifies the rhythm through which harmony emerges, while the Taraju in Shakti’s hand balances the heart and brain, symbolizing the wisdom of knowing when to feel deeply and when to think clearly. On the front, there is NAVAGUNJARA, a mythical creature mentioned in the Odia Mahabharata, roaming in a barren desert where roses bloom from cacti- a surreal coexistence of tenderness and thorns. In Odia Mahabharata, Krishna revealed the Navagunjara form before Arjuna to teach him that truth cannot be understood through appearances and labels alone. And also that meaning of life is not just human life but balance between all the life forms that exist in the world. Formed from nine beings- The head of a rooster. The neck of a peacock. The back of a bull. The waist of a lion. The legs of an elephant and a tiger. The limbs of a horse and human holding a lotus. And the tail of a serpent. Navagunjara forces us to look at the world, and every being in it, beyond labels. You may never be perfect enough for the boxes and labels the world has made for you. But in everything that makes you different, everything that makes you you- you are already the perfect Divine Balance of everything you were meant to be. Hand Embroidery: Subtle golden zardozi on the lotus and necklace, thread embroidery on the roses, and 3D beadwork on the cacti add depth and texture to the artwork, bringing this imagined world to life through craftsmanship. INDIAN FRIDA- By Santulan Shop now- https://thesantulan.com/ Credits: Director- @amritanshshkl10 @stories_ontherocks Model- @kritikavarshneyofficial DOP- @sidman09 MUA- @neerajghogre Editor- @agni__vesh This design of Santulan imagines a world where Frida Kahlo was born in India. Throughout her life, Frida was often judged by standards she never chose. Society called her unattractive because she refused to alter herself to fit its idea of beauty. She embraced her unibrow, her individuality, her scars, and every part of herself that others asked her to hide. The world saw flaws; Frida saw truth. Despite heartbreak, illness, physical pain, and constant rejection, she never surrendered her identity. Instead, she painted herself again and again- not out of vanity, but as an act of self-acceptance. Time eventually revealed what society could not. Today, Frida is not remembered as an “ugly woman”; she is remembered as one of the most beautiful and influential artists the world has ever known. Her love for herself stood so firmly that the judgments of society eventually bowed before it. In Santulan’s imagined world, Frida is reimagined as a powerful Indian woman, seated upon a tigress in the heart of a forest. Draped in a red saree- the colour of sacrifice, strength, and courage- she does not merely endure suffering; she rises above it. The tigress beneath her represents untamed instinct, inner power, and the fierce spirit that society often asks women to suppress. By taming the tigress, Indian Frida symbolizes mastery over fear, pain, and self-doubt. The surrounding forest draws inspiration from Japanese Japonisme art, creating a fusion of cultures that reflects Santulan’s philosophy of bringing distant worlds together. Here, Frida is no longer defined by her struggles or by how the world saw her. She sits confidently in her own kingdom, reminding us that true beauty is not found in perfection, but in the courage to remain unapologetically yourself. #santulan #frida #clothingbrand #art #shopnow by @kritikavarshneyofficial
