Some mornings just ask you to slow down 🌾

Spent a few hours wandering Erin Hill Acres — home to the shaggiest, most photogenic Highland cows you’ll ever meet. And then something we didn’t expect: a calf was born right in front of us. Watched it take its very first breaths and wobble up onto its feet within minutes, still finding its balance under its mother. Not something you forget.

There’s more to the farm than just the cows though — wagon rides, walking trails, live music on weekends, seasonal blooms, and wood-fired pizza straight from the oven. Basically fresh air and good food, year-round.

If you’re in Ontario and haven’t made the trip yet, add it to the list.

Wolfe Island, Ontario 🇨🇦

An hour on the water, a whole different pace of life. Sun-warmed docks, boats waiting for their next ride, and porches that don’t seem to be in a hurry to go anywhere.

Sometimes the best trips are the ones with nothing on the itinerary but light.

Every frame here is SOOC on the Fujifilm X-T5 — no edits, just the film sims doing the work. That’s the Fuji magic people keep asking me about

The city talks in neon after dark.

Some nights the city writes its own poetry — in flickering bulbs, half-lit signage, and colors that only exist after dark. Wandering with a camera, catching glow instead of daylight.

Recipe notes for the curious

Shot 1: Cinematic Nights— Eterna/Cinema, WB 4550K, DR400, Shadow +4 / Highlight -1, Blue -9, Clarity -5, weak grain (large)

Shot 2: Cinestill 800T— Eterna/Cinema, WB Fluorescent 3, DR400, strong Colour Chrome + Blue FX, Colour +4, Sharpness -3, Clarity -5, ISO 6400

Both push warm shadows and cooled highlights for that halation-heavy, cinematic-grain look.

What I saw → What I felt.

This frame somehow reminded me of Van Gogh, so I made it make sense.
