saying goodbye to my father today has been and will be one of the hardest things i’ve ever done. while i am sad about his passing, i am forever grateful for the 20 years i got to spend with him and for his presence in my life. the pain i feel today is the product of the joy i got to feel throughout my entire life, and i wouldn’t trade that for the world. while i feel i was robbed of time i could have spent with my father, i am learning to appreciate everything i got to experience with him and the many adventures he would drag me along for. i know that he lives on in the people surrounding me, and look forward to being able to learn more about him through his closest friends and family. he had his faults like every human, but he truly was an incredible father and role model for friendships. he brought so much laughter to everyone he met, and i can only hope that i can continue his legacy and leave a positive impact on the people around me just as he was able to do for me and the many others who knew him. he was irreplaceable. i hope you’re up there still blasting silent lucidity in heaven, dad. by @krtchs
