Er is nog steeds een groot tekort aan echte gespecialiseerde tight curls kappers hier in Nederland en België (maar ook Luxemburg!).Sinds 2021 ben ik mensen hiervoor aan het opleiden zowel nationaal (NL) als internationaal.Officieel ben ik gestopt met het opleiden hier in Nederland wegens 2 redenen: mijn verhuizing in het buitenland en het discriminatie in het beauty industrie. Vandaar dat ik mij tegenwoordig meer richt ik op beauty educatie op internationaal gebied.Maar omdat ik nog steeds het verzoek hier in Nederland krijg om mensen/kappers op te leiden, kwam ik speciaal naar Nederland hiervoor. Gisteren heb ik samen met mijn assistente Sharvienne (officiële Krùl Kriyoyo ambassadrice) een professional workshop gehost voor 4x deelnemers. Another Curly hair client in Marrakech 🇲🇦 Yesterday when I was doing the other client, they (mother and daughter) asked me if I had time to do her daughter's hair that same day. But because I had to go to the airport to pick Joshua up, I told them I text them on IG my general information and price.This morning they called to see if it's possible for her to get an appointment today because they are flying out this week. So I told my son Joshua that I have to work for a few hours and after that we will be free to do whatever he wants. The client is 11 years old and showed me on Instagram what she wants, I've explained to her that I'm going to pop her own curl texture and that the more she will practice what I taught her, the more visible her curls will be with time. She also asked me to cut her bangs so we did.Despite the huge language barrier I did my best to explain & visualize everything for her and her mom.Do you guys love the end results and do guys think I need to teach a local hairdresser that can speak Arabic, French and English? by @krul_kriyoyo

Okay listen, I'm a retired curly hairdresser in The Netherlands that ONLY hosts professional workshops nowadays worldwide.But this beautiful soul was recommended by another mutual friend here in Marrakech 🇲🇦. And they both asked me very nicely to please help Leyla with her curls. So I told Leyla I will do it but I will charge you my latest dutch prices that I had before retirement. She said: I heard you are the best, so I trust you". I told her that I had to go to Holland first to get the products needed for the service and to also resell them to her as a starter kit. She agreed to wait and today was her big day!She came in with EXTREMELY brittle and dry hair due to not knowing how to properly take care of her hair, over usage of protein containing hair products and only wearing ponytails. So I did what I do best: I've educated her about her hair, the type of hair products and hair tools and last but not least I've POP those curls for her and gave her a nice hair shape based on her hair length.Slide 1: selfie together Slide 2: how she came to the appointment, super brittle hair Slide 3: wet hair results, after a good and deep washing routine and styling Slide 4: diffused hair before cutting ✂️, showing the length differencesSlide 5: after the Krùl Kriyoyo cutting technique 🥰She left as a super happy client asking me to please help and guide her these upcoming months with her new hair journey. This post is inspired by @yearcompass thnx to @annemarie_van_veelen for the recommendation 😘Today I want to briefly take a look at how my 2025 went by answering some questions I found in the booklet of @yearcompass 1. What was the wisest decision I made?Finally listen to my mind & body, because burnout & depression was knocking on my door 💯2. The biggest lesson I've learned?People will have an opinion of you regardless of what you do. Also they don't care about what you did or are still doing for them as long as they are perfectly fine in their comfort zone 🤷🏾‍♀️3. The biggest risk I took?"Randomly" closed my business, wave goodbye to my steady income, part ways with my all time sponsors and move to an Islamic country with only 3k in my pockets and not knowing one word of Darija/Arabic nor French 🤫🫣4. The biggest achievement (surprise) of this year?Signing the lease of my first lil apartment here in Marrakech 🔑 Feels so good to have a place to call home 🏠5. The most important thing I did for others?• for my clients and followers of @krul_kriyoyo I made sure to leave them with good knowledge @krullen_educatie and capable 200+ hair experts • inspired a lot of women to follow their heart & be closer to God through my devotional recommendations ❤️6. The biggest thing I started this year?A complete new business @travel_krioyo where I showed tens of 🇨🇼🇳🇱 people the beauty of Morocco through my eyes 7. What am I the most grateful for?Despite all the sometimes tiresome turbulence of 2025, my God gave me EVERYDAY the opportunity to wake up and enjoy His beautiful creation 😍8. This page (@travel_tips_by_mo ) started by sharing my travel destinations and its tips to inspire you to visit these destinations too and of course to make your travel preparation easier. I used to travel ✈️ to various destinations 4 to 6 times a year. Sometimes I repeated destinations such as Curaçao, Bonaire, Spain (Mallorca) more than once a year etc due to my prior work projects (@krul_kriyoyo ) but always showing something new to do on these repeated destinations.BUT since my very last travel of November 2024 to Marrakech 🇲🇦, I completely stopped traveling to other countries and started investing my time and money to get to know Morocco. I visited Marrakech again last December and January. The funny thing is after I visited Marrakech 3x times in a row, I immediately knew and felt that I HAD to move to Marrakech. And so I did last April. And the most asked questions people ask me is: but WHY Marrakech and HOW are making a living for yourself there?For me Marrakech has a unique, super vibrant and true culture with some real ancient traditions that I've NEVER experienced before, it has also a rare sensation where the outside chaos and the inner peace becomes one which is so difficult to describe. Marrakech is the perfect example where the old (history) and the new (modernisation) merge perfectly together without disturbing each other's authenticity. Besides the delicious local (organic) food, Marrakech has some exotic scents and spices, and has an unparalleled hospitality which I also NEVER experienced somewhere else before. Marrakech is also surrounded by true natural beauty like the Atlas Mountains, and has a unique atmosphere that makes it a "different world". And this is just Marrakech, MOROCCO has so much more to offer and to discover!So to conclude the first impressions of Marrakech was for me so unique and special that I decided to move her without hesitating. The inner peace and mind shifting this city gave me is so difficult to describe that it makes it a destination that YOU simply must experience for yourself. And that's why I created @travel_krioyo so you can see and experience Marrakech through my eyes and my connections 🫶🏾 by @krul_kriyoyo

Niet iedereen is nog op de hoogte dat Studio Krùl Kriyoyo (in Dordrecht) niet meer bestaat en dat ik dus nu tijdelijk in het buitenland woon. De Krùl Kriyoyo deep hydration "geheim" is nu eindelijk online 😊 Sla deze post op & thank me later wanneer je deze op mijn aanbevolen manier hebt toegepast bij je eerst volgende was beurt.Als je de afgelopen jaren in mijn stoel hebt gezeten (en je extreem droog haar had) heb je mij vast wel dit zien doen en/of uitleggen.Hoe maak je deze cocktail?• zorg ervoor dat je een leeg en schoon potje met deksel hebt• voeg 1 et hydraterende masker toe• voeg ook 1 et hydraterende conditioner toe• Vul het potje helemaal vol met water• schud totdat het een smooth cocktail wordHoe werkt het best?• zorg ervoor dat je haar EERST grondig met shampoo wast & ontklit• breng na de shampoo, eerst je masker en boven op je conditioner aan• maak de cocktail zoals hierboven beschreven • breng deze cocktail rustig aan verdeeld over het gehele haar (lengte)• rustig aan met je handpalmen de cocktail insmeren ZONDER de "overtollige" water der uit te scrunchen• 10 á 30 minuten laten intrekken en hierna GRONDIG uitspoelen!Voor wie is deze cocktail bedoeld?• iedereen (alle texturen) die extreem droog haar ervaren, intrek proces is wel afhankelijk van de haar textuur.• ideaal na het verven en uithalen van "protective" hairstyles zoals braids etc• weet je ZEKER dat jouw haar of die van jouw klant ook een proteïne boost heeft, afhankelijk van het haar zal ik het overwegen om wel of niet een combi treatment te doen.
