Supergirl new trailer #dcsupergirl

cr @dcofficial @supergirl

🎬 What Supergirl actually is 🎬
✨The movie is officially titled Supergirl (the earlier subtitle Woman of Tomorrow was dropped).
✨It’s part of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s rebooted DC Universe (DCU)—not the old DCEU.
✨Directed by Craig Gillespie (known for Cruella, I, Tonya).
✨Script by Ana Nogueira, producing credits go to Gunn & Safran.

This slots Supergirl as the second major movie in the new DCU, right after Superman (2025).

📅 June 26, 2026 in theaters and IMAX.

🦸 Who’s in it (and what roles) 🦸
✨Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl — the lead. She was introduced at the end of Superman earlier this year.
✨Jason Momoa as Lobo, a rough anti-hero bounty hunter.
✨Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham in key supporting parts.

✨Bottom Line✨

This Supergirl is shaping up to be ambitious and stylistically distinct from other big superhero films — but ambition doesn’t guarantee success. With a June 2026 release and a darker, character-driven story, it’s not just a sidekick movie: it sets the tone for the next chapter of DC movies.

⚡️The Harry Potter TV series isn’t actually changing the story. It’s retelling it. The original movies had to cut a lot. Characters. Details. Entire storylines. Because you can’t fit seven books into a few hours. A series can. More time. More depth. More accuracy. So this isn’t about replacing the original. It’s about showing the full story for the first time.

Moana Live Action ⛵️🌀🌊

Disney’s live-action Moana (2026) retells the beloved ocean adventure with real-world visuals, following Moana as she sails beyond her island to save her people with the help of the demigod Maui, played again by Dwayne Johnson 🌊; the newly released trailer showcases stunning Polynesian landscapes, emotional callbacks to the original story, glimpses of iconic characters, and a more realistic, cinematic tone, while staying largely faithful to the animated classic.
