🩷I have the sweetest, most adorable fur babies in the world, and I am quite literally obsessed with them.
♥️My fam is amazing and so supportive, and I feel especially lucky to be such good friends with all of our siblings.
🥰And my very favorite of all, my hubby. We’ve been married seventeen years and counting.

I still absolutely love me a good YA thriller, and Jennifer Lynn Barnes’s #inheritancegames series is one of the best out there. How cool to have her visit us here in SLC! Especially since she was in conversation with one of my very favorite local authors @tricialevenseller! 🫶

It’s been a busy couple of months while I’ve been on hiatus, and I’m not going to lie, I missed it here!!! I missed connecting with my online book friends, and I missed sharing what I was reading way more than I thought I would. It was a fun and fascinating experiment to see if my reading changed at all if I wasn’t posting about it here or on Goodreads, buuuttt it didn’t. 😂😂😂 I still read mostly mystery/thrillers. I still read mostly ARCs and ALCs of upcoming releases. And I still averaged 18 books a month. 🤷‍♀️

But not creating content did give me a bit more time to spend on other activities and hobbies.

What I’ve been doing while I’ve been offline:

💇‍♀️ Hopped on the bob trend
📚 Spent time with my cutie bookclub
🏃‍♀️ Ran my first 5K!
🪩 Attended some fun book events
🛻 Finally met Otto the @mysterybooktruck
🌱 Did lots of gardening
♥️ Hung out with the fam (celebrated my gma’s 95th birthday!!!)
🐾 Had so much fun with the pups
🔨 Finished our house projects

My incredibly talented, magical, and creative friend @alexispowellstories has a witchy story collection coming out on Tuesday, and y’all, it is STUNNING!!! ✨🤩📖🧙‍♀️💚

Get ready to be completely enchanted by A Coven of Witches! This collection strikes the perfect balance between spooky and whimsical, with stories that feel haunting, beautiful, and magical. Every tale brought something new to the table. Creepy train rides, chilling folklore, unsettling scavenger hunts, ghostly graveyards, I never knew what kind of eerie experience was waiting on the next page. I was blown away by how Alexis reimagined every tale. The illustrations are absolutely GORGEOUS, and the packaging of this book is just as beautiful as the stories themselves. What an absolute honor to have been in conversation with the incredible @christinadoddbooks about her new novel #teachthetorchestoburn! 🔥🩷🔍🥰This is book 3 in the Daughter of Montague series, and y’all, I LOVED it!!! I laughed out loud so many times. I SWOOOOOONED. I was hooked by the mystery. This series just enchanted me! Christina’s wit absolutely comes through on every page. How neat to experience that in person! 🫶

Thank you so, so much to @poppybookssf for inviting me. I’ve been to A LOT of bookshops, and Poppy’s is truly one of the best. Their shop is ADORABLE, the staff is PHENOMENAL, and their events are so well organized and fun.

It was also so special to have my mum, my book bestie @thecleverreader, and the hubz with me too! What a magical night! ✨✨✨

I ADORED The Girl’s Trip by @allycondiebooks! Easily one of my favorite thrillers I’ve read in 2026, so it was such a delight to moderate her event at @provolibrary last night! Ally is such a lovely person, and we’re so lucky to have her as one of our local authors here. It’s always so much fun to chat with her. Her books absolutely never disappoint.

March was a month of so many good books, good puppies, good walks, good food, and good progress on our basement project.

I had the hardest time picking a favorite read of the month, but I ultimately had to go with Kiss Slay Replay by Rachel Harrison! 😘🔪⏱️
