#MyChildrensPortraitProject …

These three beautiful faces I made, and in turn made me who I am today.
It’s been many years since I’ve done portrait work, and drawing my own children came with an extra dose of perfectionism. I had to get that perfect look, the faces that I’ve seen from their first breath to the incredible people they are becoming ..and it took several attempts. It was worth the effort to get it right.
There is still one more I will add to this set and then I will frame them!

These were completed in conte, graphite, white charcoal, white acrylic, white paint pen, ink and high gloss sealant spray. by @krztns

… Love how this little piece for my baby girl’s shadow box turned out.
Experiments can be scary, and this piece took me for a ride, but I love the results so much. 🤍🤍🤍.. now to find the perfect box … by @krztns

..This is me, still working on my dream. Is it just a dream?.. how many years have passed?., do I know, do I even care?
The journey is always my favorite part.. not the ending,

Creating new worlds inspired by life. New characters inspired by my three children. Creatures inspired by obstacles. Personalities inspired by new friends and old ones. Scenes inspired by those in my life and those I’ve viewed only in my imagination.

They all slowly come to life before my eyes in this little square window of never ending possibilities. Variations of me and what makes me…

But the finish has to happen for the world to experience, critique, label, judge and maybe even enjoy , me and this dream with me, and …
Until then, I’ll be here, selfishly keeping it to myself, just for a bit longer, ..

Is it all just a dream?
Should I keep it that way ..?
