Summer horse showing has come to an end. The last two weeks at Copper Penny were a blast! Champion in Equitation, Reserve Champion in hunters and fifth place in the hunter derby. So many emotions… happy these two will continue on together. ❤️💙💛 taken in Estes Park Fairgrounds by @kscherer71

*The Mountain King Ranch Grant from a mom’s perspective* As a mom, this experience meant so much! It’s hard to put it all into word just how amazing this week has been. I watched Kayla make new connections, life long friendships, take lessons from amazing trainers at Beacon Hill Show Stables (Stacia Klein Madden, Krista Freundlich, and Heather Senia Williams), a lesson from Dominic Gibbs, ride several different horses, cheer on Jordan Gibbs in the show ring, audit lessons, walk the Grand Prix course, experience the 5* Grand Prix, see McLain Ward and Laura Kraut compete in person, meet Leslie Howard, watch a demonstration from Lauren Hough and teach Kayla’s lesson, and in the end put all of that knowledge into the ring and watch my daughter win 2nd place in the 15-17 Equitation Flat class. Priceless ❤️

We had no idea how much work, countless hours, and organization was put into this week. We are very fortunate to have had this experience. A big a thank you to Dominic, Erin and Jordan Gibbs for everything you have done for Kayla and making this experience life changing. Thank you to one of the sponsors Maggie Alexander (Duck Hollow South) and Mary Barbara Alexander for being our hosts for the week and taking us into their home, giving Kayla the opportunity to ride your horses and treating us like family. It really has meant a lot! Thank you to all of the sponsors who helped make this week happen… Mountain King Ranch, Beacon Hill Show Stables, CHJA, Voltaire, Maggie Alexander, Score Academy, Riders Boutique, Kunkle Equestrian Gloves, Horse Scents, Phelps Media, Kind Media, Frederic and Priscilla Gibbs, and American Vein & Vascular Institute.

Thank you to Kayla’s trainer Linnea Throckmorton for making the trip with some of the Four Winds family to cheer on Kayla. And to Kaylas grandparents for making the drive to spend time with us and support Kayla at WEF. It has been an unbelievable week and one that will be cherished for a lifetime. taken in Wellington International by @kscherer71
