Grateful to have spent the weekend at the 2026 DFW Lao Heritage Summer Camp. As a first-generation Lao American, seeing so many kids learning our language, culture, music, and traditions means a lot to me. Huge shoutout to Kelly and her team for the work they’re doing to preserve our heritage for the next generation. Postcards from Sapporo, Hokkaido Daily View from our room, felt like the PNW Odori Park Hydrangea season Historic Government Building Sapporo TV Tower We loved being able to walk everywhere! & of course Pokemon Center was a must Nijo Market, all of the freshest seafoods from the Hokkaido region 😋 ☔️🌧️💧 Rained our first night but we got super lucky the rest of the trip had perfect weather! What an incredible experience being on Good Morning Texas representing @zaapkitchentx and sharing our food, culture, and story with the community. Getting to do it alongside my brother made it even more special. While the exposure for our brand is always appreciated, the real highlight was having the opportunity to showcase Lao culture and show that our food, traditions, and community are thriving here in America. We’re grateful for everyone who has supported us throughout this journey. Every meal shared, every conversation started, and every guest who walks through our doors helps keep our culture alive and moving forward.
