Exploring this other worldly Arizona landscape with Abbie and Kelton was A DREAM.

My husband and I visited this area for our anniversary last year. We wandered along deserted desert roads, and found some of the most beautiful and untouched desert I had ever seen. I had never seen another wedding photographer capture these areas, and instantly KNEW I needed to take a couple out here.

Fast forward 3 months, Abbie and Kelton were up for the wild adventure. ✨

We wandered among ancient toadstool hoodoos, climbed an ancient white sandstone arch, and watched the sun set over towering stone cliffs. Admiring how the sun seemed to change the colors of the white rocky landscape around us. Like an artist painting on a canvas.

There’s something really special about showing people the hidden, other worldly beauty of the desert. Almost something sacred about walking and exploring these parts of the Earth that feel so remote and rarely witnessed by other humans.

Huge shout out to everyone who made this shoot happen. So thankful I can somehow convince people to wander in the middle of nowhere with me. 😉

I’m going to post a year recap because 2024 was something else. So feel free to tune in, or just look at the pictures. Either way is fine with me.

1) Abbie took me to my very first MLB game (Yankees vs Diamondbacks). In addition to the game, we also had a blast exploring Scottsdale and Phoenix. It quickly became a favorite place of ours.
2) This picture has a double purpose. In February, Abbie and I lost Abbie’s maternal grandmother, Grandma Gatherum. In April, we lost my maternal grandmother, Grandma Coco. Both losses were profound, but they brought us closer as a family.
3) I golfed Sand Hollow for the first time this year. What an experience! It’s a course that truly lives up to the hype and quickly became my favorite course in Utah.
4) Abbie took me to another baseball game! (Yankees vs. Padres). This game we were able to enjoy with @karleyterry and her family, along with my wonderful parents @mojac4
5) On July 12th, I was unexpectedly laid off from my job and career. It was an event that shook me to my core and I still am experiencing stress and anxiety as a result. While I have since found new (and in my opinion better and more exciting) employment, I would not wish that experience on anyone. The mental and emotional toll it took and continues to take on me is remarkable.
6) My FIL took Abbie and I to Thirty Seconds to Mars at USANA and can I say it was the most shocking musical experience of my life. They were amazing and we had a blast!
7) Abbie and I saw Tyler Childers at USANA about a month later and had a blast singing and dancing. He’s a great performer. Would absolutely go again.
8) In August, we went to the Dominican Republic and had the most incredible time. A huge thanks to @exclusivetravelbylesley for helping us plan trip after trip and enjoy new parts of the world!
9) I flew a plane
10) We went to our first Hockey game with @karleyterry, @er.jordan391, and their families.
11) My family embarked on the most incredible cruise for 7 days in the Caribbean on the Icon of the Seas. It was 7 days of fun and relaxation and I truly don’t know if that trip can be topped. by @ksjack5
