Wow what a journey it has been to get to this moment!

People dont tell you about how hard it actually is to leave your life behind, travel half way across the world and start a new one.

It started when I met my soul mate and British partner in Vietnam❤️ Some years in South Africa with visas always looming, we couldn't be apart and had to make a plan. Thanks to gran for being Welsh.

This journey has tested my resilience over and over again. I left my home, my family and my friends. I was not there when my dad died, when my grandmother died, I missed watching my sister and best friend walk down the isle, I didn't get to hold my sister's hand when she had her 1st chemo, or shave my hair off with her and I missed big moments with the people who mean the most in my life.

I did however get to spend the last years with Kimberley and not have to worry about not sharing a future or getting old together, we brought a house, made a home, found a four legged soul(Reid)who was made to be apart of our lives and family, we have travelled to places we could not have dreamed about if we did not make the move, I started a new career with ambulance service, my mom still managed to visit, I gained more friends, more family and a place I now call home.

I am a now a citizen of a country where I can be whoever I want if I put my mind to it, where I can change careers as an adult, start over and not have to worry about the financial implications, where my health and wellbeing is my right, where inclusion is a right not a privilege, where the greatest threat to my safety is the judgement from a man down the street who keeps forgetting I arrived here in an aeroplane and that my tax money pays for his water and electric bill😂 where the beer tastes a bit better 🍺 and where I get to grow old with the amazing women I love! Who without her this journey would have been impossible!

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my/our journey❤️

I will never swop cooksisters for scones, never call a braai a bbq, never ever support the English or even Lions rugby teams or never forget where I came from🇿🇦

I will always and forever be South African but I am now British too🇬🇧 by @kswart

KIM & KYLIE… & REID 🤭

These two absolute beauties tied the knot in SOUTH AFRICA 😍 and the photos from their wedding were nothing short of incredible! So when they asked me to capture their UK reception I was so nervous, thinking, nothing I ever shoot could compare to their wedding photos! But when they came armed with THE cutest, smiliest spaniel, two stunning dresses, two beautiful smiles and a whole lotta love, I don’t know why I was worrying 🤭
