This baby I’ve cradled for so many years is growing. And with that growth comes one of the hardest lessons I’ve had to learn: letting go. For the first time in five years, I am taking an extended trip away from the business, leaving on ground logistics and in studio production to @mshilt0n @maryjanescanlon_ @bella_thesituation These women have earned my trust over and over again through their passion and devotion. My gratitude for them runs deeeeep. I’ve recently found myself holding both expansion and contraction at the same time. There is so much pride in looking back at everything we’ve built, but I’m also simultaneously feeling guilt and grief in loosening my grip on this process that has been my compass for half a decade. As I step further into the role of CD and manager, I inevitably become less hands on. And if I’m honest, that has been confronting. Celeste has become my right hand woman. Pattern making, sampling and bringing our ideas to life beside me. Not having my hands in every stitch and every part of the process the way I once did feels unfamiliar. So I’m practicing trust. Trust in the women beside me and that a business will evolve without losing its soul. That this business is now its own entity that can be shared with my staff and all of you. What we can do together is crazy big. This is what I’m devoted to cultivating. A space filled with capable, thoughtful and fiercely talented women. The type who inspire me every damn day. There are no better hands to leave this baby with. I’ll be steering the ship from afar for a few months. Ciaooo by @kt.gray

Watching something that once only existed in my mind come to life in the real world feels both surreal and deeply activating. Feeling the reciprocity, the shared energy, the way our circles of women continue to expand and hold one another. It’s something I value deeply. I love working alongside women like this. It reminds me, again and again, that anything is possible. So many hands went into bringing this event together, but I want to honour my team - @bella_thesituation @maryjanescanlon_ @mshilt0n. I’m constantly in awe of their depth, their passion, and the way they show up for this vision. There were so many moments where I found myself stepping back, watching their competence and kindness unfold. They are the kind of women that move through life with heart and intention. To everyone who has supported my brand over the years - thank you. Meeting you, exchanging words, adoring you and witnessing you in my designs… it all felt so special. My gratitude runs deep. To be welcomed so generously by @whoskaylamoon into such a layered, intentional space is a true honour. There’s a certain magic held within those walls. A space that invites you to create authentically straight from your soul. This weekend was a reminder of the importance of creating. Of making art. Of doing it even when it feels uncomfortable. Of finding that edge and stepping over it. Of returning to trust, always. by @kt.gray
