We have three cars for this weekend’s @tourdeforestrally! (#232 Mark Tabor / Kathryn Hansen) (#231 Kristen Tabor / Jan Tabor) (#271 Matt Tabor / Elizabeth Austin)

Recce and tech today, racing tomorrow! 🙌 by @ktaborfpc

2026 Hood to Coast relay is a wrap! Team Original Marta-Relay-Ville had an absolute blast! Our runners ran swift, our drivers drove carefully, and our energy was high— a good finish after 35+ hours. So proud of this team and we can’t wait for next year! by @ktaborfpc

Oh boy—- three-quarters through the chart! Next steps: measure for length, few rows of garter for shoulders, put on holders and work up the sleeves, then steek.

Started a new thing… it will either be a vest, or a sweater, depending on how much yarn the body uses. Chart work is #elizabethzimmermann Aspen leaves from Knitter’s Workshop. I highly recommend her books, they are amazing. Can be found at @schoolhousepress one of my favorite places on the internet

Finished!! I think it turned out pretty great.

Spring Sweater
Pattern: self made, bottom-up yoke sweater

Yarn was free, from my friend Sam whose knitter wife Tish died. All four colors came in a bag together, I think she wanted something done with them so I did.

Knit up once, frogged 90%, reknit correctly.

A quiet morning— some knitting, some coffee, and World Cup on the iPad.

I should finish the neck of this sweater, bind off, graft the underarm stitches together and weave in ends today. Then it’s just a little wash and block, and wait for cooler weather to wear it!

Did I literally just finish #knitting this sweater & am now taking it apart? You bet I am!

Self-drafted yoke sweater. I need to knit the green & fuchsia sections shorter, maybe revisit the flowers in the transition from green to fuchsia. Hem is flippy, maybe redo that too?

I like the process as much as the finished item.

Four more rows and I can join the sleeves!

Pattern is self-drafted, bottom-up yoke sweater with colorwork made up from a book of charts I inherited from my Gramma Ruth.

I had to take 6 weeks off from knitting after rotator cuff surgery, so this project is taking longer than it probably should. But the whole point of knitting for me is mindfulness and creativity and not rushing through things, savoring it while you have it in your hands.

I have a lot of gifted sweater-quantity yarn that I’ve been struggling to figure out what to do with— so this afternoon I sat down with my color pencils and pattern dictionary to figure something out. Corrugated ribbing and some basic colorwork— need to do some math now and figure out how the sections with mesh.

I love these leggings— comfortable, supportive, with a great message to the world.

Ran the Providence Heart to Start 5k today, my goal event for the winter! I’ve been working through their training programs albeit missed a couple of weeks. My watch says I ran this is 38:57 at an average pace of 12:46 min/mile, which I am satisfied with. I’m looking to use this event as a springboard to 10k distance and 11:30 min/mile.

That said, my fall in December has resulted in a partially-torn labrum (not displaced, happily) and partially-torn bicep tendon, so depending on my orthopedic appointment, my training plan may or may not happen. Fingers crossed! by @ktaborfpc

My resolution this year is to get WIPs done! This one has been languishing on Sleeve Island for two years, I had to pull it back to the beginning of the sleeve and start over. I do love the color work of this one, it’s a beauty
