Over the last 10 1/2 months I have been going dancing at a honky tonk here in Charlotte. I’ve learned many line dances and how to two step/country swing dance! I have made many friends and love dancing with them. Here’s a little clip from Neon Dance Night this past weekend. Thank you to @southern_steps for making these events happen, we’re so appreciative 🩵

IM MOVING TO CHARLOTTE!!! 🤩

Yesterday evening I officially signed my contract to be a dance instructor at Jami Masters School of Dance in Charlotte, North Carolina!
I am so excited to start this new chapter in my life and to move out to this beautiful city in month.
God has blessed me with a great new job, a sweet friend Marisa to come work with me, and I’m getting to live with my amazing cousin Corie!
I’ve prayed so hard and for so long for God to show me where I am supposed to go and He has done just that! He opened all the doors that I needed to walk through and turned me away from those I didn’t. I could not be more thankful for my Amazing God!
Thank you to everyone who has been praying for me throughout the last few months! It is truly appreciated 🤍 by @ktearle_dance

I have new reels posted on my website! The link is in my bio. These are some images from each video.
The first here is a piece I did with @malz_moves and choreographer @_kass.faith_ , the second is a piece I choreographed for a Nativity Christmas show at the studio I work for. Third is a solo I choreographed on on myself for a class project. And the last the solo I created for my final in the aerial class I took at VSU.
I had an amazing time working in all of the pieces in so many different ways! Each of these pieces has helped me grow in different ways as a dancer and I’m so excited to have these reels posted!
Check out @ethanlowe.jpg page for incredible content! He edited my reels and did a great job!

I had a friend dm me asking to shoot some footage of me dancing and of course my answer was yes!

@ethanlowe.jpg did not disappoint! This shoot was so fun and a great reason for me to dance full out again!

Check out his page for more of his work! Full of talent 👌🏼🔥

This weekend A Time to Dance Performing Arts Studio put on a dance recital about the birth of Jesus! I had the privilege of choreographing a duet between “Mary & Elizabeth”. The 2 dancers I worked with are incredibly talented, beautiful inside & out, and just amazing girls all around! They danced beautifully together and made my vision come to life. I could not be more proud of them and every other dancer that was apart of this special show! As I stood on the side of the stage in the wings, I watched as they performed my movement for a live audience. This is something I have dreamed about for I don’t know how many years. It brought tears to my eye during both shows. I have always wanted to be a dance teacher and this movement was so rewarding!

I want to thank Patricia Nealey for hiring me as an instructor at her studio! She made me an official dance teacher this year and I couldn’t be more thankful!

Thank you to @beachbum91 , my sweet mama. She started me on this journey almost 19 years ago. If it weren’t for her putting me into dance at 4 years old, I would’ve never made it to this point in my life. She has encouraged more than anyone and supported me through every little thing and again, I could never be more thankful! I love you mama!

To @mama_witch , you have been my inspiration, role model, and muse since 2014. Dancing under her teaching made me 100% sure that I wanted to teach in the future. I have called, texted and FaceTimed her with so many questions and asked for advice on what to do, how to handle something, and even to brush up my memory on some things. Mama Leigh, you have no idea how grateful I am for you and all you’ve done for me! I love you tons!

And lastly, but most important, my biggest Thanks goes to God! As I sat on my floor next to my bed after the show, I sobbed tears of joy and happiness. He made this happen! He got me here! Without Him, I would never be who I am today. He blessed me with a love and talent for a beautiful art form! He has filled my heart with so much joy today and I will NEVER be able to thank Him enough! To God be the glory! All thanks go to Him!

I enjoy doing what I love! It makes me so happy to share with young dancers this upbeat and exciting style of dance!

Last week I got to bring my sister to work with me and she took a quick little video of me teaching my Tap class! This sweet girl works so hard in the studio and at home. She is always focused and eager to learn 🤩

Life Update:

I have finished college with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, turned 22, and have started a job at a local studio here in Valdosta. I will be teaching a Tap class on Thursday evenings and will be choreographing for the competition dance team.

I am so excited to see how God will use me this year and how I will progress forward. I have always dreamed of being a studio dance and competition instructor and I have now achieved that dream. I do still plan on pursuing my dream of dancing on cruise ships. But for now this is where God has placed me. I’m so thankful for this opportunity and to see how I will grow in the next year!
